switching from bodybuilding to powerlifting with training?

Wondering if you guys had any tips when it comes to switching from bodybuilding to powerlifting training? I try to be a bodybuilder but it just didn’t happen. I just don’t think I have the genetics for that. I really like to strength train and that’s where I want to focus going forward when it comes to strength training. Do you do any cardio? Do you do any high repetition? Do you do drop sets? What are some secrets?
 
When it comes to powerlifting you gotta go heavy. Maybe do 3 or 4 repetitions per set. That would be the best option for you.
 
Keep your repetitions under eight. I don't necessarily think you have to go down to 2 or 3. You definitely don't want to over train and do 1 or 2 repetitions. That's how you get injured.
