I find a style of shirt that fits and I like, and usually go with it for a while. Nike Golf isn't associated with untucked pink fratboy polos, is mid-end in price, not trendy (around the midwest, at least), is quality material, and actually caters to an athletic fit... thus giving it a level of prestige over other crap out there.
Okay, Lacoste is the little alligator logo brand. I seem to recall those being associated with trendy frat kids. I like the little couger logo thingy of Slazenger better, but I never see those around here much.
Adidas, Ping, Nike, Ashworth all make good shirts, but they look like golf shirts. If you just want a plain polo shirt, go with Polo, Lacoste, Bannana Republic, shit like that. Get to a store, for fuck's sake Samote.

I will never wear anything that has the word "banana" on it, HTH.
I don't go into wierd stores in malls that carry trendy polos, so I don't know what's out there. I usually hit up the golf clothing section of Bass Pro or a similar sporting or golf store.
I'd wear full button-ups, but they never fit right.
