Went to Dr. After Cycle

synfull

New member
I'm 55 years old and just finished my second cycle. It was Primo 200mg 2x week, and test c 500 mg. every 4 days. I had great gains and lost a lot of fat and gained lot of muscle although I now weigh the same (225). I had my blood work done this summer after my first cycle of test only and pct of unleashed and trs. My test level came back at 240. Dr. prescribed testosterone gel.
I never took the gel as I wanted to do my second cycle.
I fished the second cycle about 3 weeks ago and did my pct of hcg, unleashed and nolva.
Last week I told my wife of my cycles. She was upset of course but "requested" that I tell my doc.
I agreed and went in last week. I told him what I had done. He naturally acted concerned for my health and told me he could put me on injectable test 250 mg. every 2 weeks. But first he wanted to get my bloodwork done again. He called today with the results. Every thing was normal except my test levels were 1844. He said they shouldn't be over 1200 and was concerned.
My question is, is this a normal level 2 weeks after cycle or was I maybe taking too much for my body to even use?

If you used Test Eth or cyp they will keep levels elevated for 6-7 weeks even then the decline is gradual.

Tell your doc you want 200mg/week for your dose. It's not too much. It's a commonly prescribed amount.

LOL. Yeah you got your blood test done with juice still in your body. Plus the HCG, your levels were through the roof.

lol @ ur doc. YOU TOOK TESTOSTERONE?!! Are you nuts?!?!? Quick! Take this testosterone!!! LOLOLOLOL

nice. try to talk him into breaking the injections into 100-125mg weakly not bi weakly. buff how is it that you can be sure 200mg ew trt isnt to much for a 55yo man? to me it sounds crazy.

My Rx is 300mg twice/week, but the original was 200mg every 2 weeks. Blood tests every 4 months at first. I had to ask the doctor to put me on this much, and he was a bit reluctant. But since I didn't have any heart problems, or any side effects such as aggression, acne, or liver/kidney problems, he OKd it.

Now I know some bros are going to wonder how I got a doctor to do this legitimately... It wasn't cheap. First, he's part of a large MD group in Torrance, CA, which specializes in anti-aging and hormone therapy. I had to go to have $2000 in blood work, and actually prove to HAVE a medical deficiency before he'd even think of prescribing Test Cyp. That's a lot of $$$, and I had to make some choices and sacrifices to be able to do this.

True BUT his doctor sounds kind of like Gomer Pyle and if he talk him into it and doing his own injections he can shoot 100mg per week or so and then stock pile his HG test for his cycles. Sweet!

You're on 600MG per week HRT? WTF?

cycles are another bad idea at 55.

your doc has you on 600mg test a week?

Depends and is debatable. I know a lot of guys older than that who blast and cruse. Of course the blasts are mild and regular blood work is essential. Depends on goals, overall health and priorities.

it is verry debatable but the facts are also there. a lot of men drop dead suddenly in their 40's and 50's as a direct result of steroid use. when your organs start getting up there in age they start losing their resistance to abuse. what i said is my opinion of course i see the other side after i nearly died at 31. i also worked verry closely with a doctor however i was running large amounts of gear. any way to start aas for any reason other than health at 55 seems pointless. cycling is not healthy. real trt has its health pro's.

Yes... My levels support that, and I wish I could get my levels up where they are with a lot less of the EXPENSIVE stuff. Without anything, when I initially went in for the hormone workup, (and I'd never used any kind of steroid before), my T level was so low that they thought the test was fouled. And my estrogen was through the roof, and I was a candidate for male breast cancer, according to the doctor. All this came up because after about 35, I had no interest whatsoever in women, and kept getting more and more gynecomastia, despite perfect eating habits and a good workout program. The more I'd work out, the more exhausted I'd get... Couldn't even stay awake til 9PM. My sex drive was so bad that I could have had a chick with a perfect body naked in front of me, and she might as well be a gum tree. I had to drink (LITERALLY) 2 gallons of water a day because I was so thirsty all the time, and I couldn't go 20 minutes without peeing. The thing that actually got me to the doctor, was a nose bleed that wouldn's stop. Turns out my BP was 240/160! They wanted to give me an IV and put me in the hospital. I had all kinds of tests, as they were convinced that my arteries were plugged up, or something must have been wrong with my heart. WRONG, bleesedly.... Arteries flowing like Niagara Falls, and heart just fine. And my triglyceride level was as high as 500, which is normal for a 70-year-old obese heart patient unmedicated. All this added up to something that the regular doctor couldn't figure out, except to accuse me of lying about my eating and exercise habits. I don't understand why, at my age of 40 at the time, and I was in the ideal weight range for a high school kid, the doctor could think that. But they're narrow-minded, and if a person presents with out-of-control BP & cholesterol, they must be a lazy bum on the couch all day with cheeseburgers & fries with chocolate shakes for all meals. Made me want to clobber the HMO doctor with a barrel of used frying fat! Finally, my wife had done some reading, and we went to see the hormone specialist... One set of comprehensive bloodwork, and BINGO! I was diagnosed with, among other hormone problems, Aldosteronism. This condition is a near carbon-copy of diabetes by symptoms, and is extremely rare. Now treated with testosterone replacement and Arimidex, along with some other balancing measures, I'm as good as new.

As a matter of fact, the benefits of muscle development with me, are only a great side effect! I've always been into lifting and fitness, but never could have dreamed that the very same workouts I had done for the past nearly 30 years, could give me the results I now get with normalized hormone levels.

600mg/week would probably give most men a huge spike in the tested level, but in me, it's just in the upper normal range. And with Arimidex, my estrogen is controlled well, too.

Anyhow, that's my situation.....

What happened and what were you taking if you don't mind me asking?

wow. you are an extreme case.

Haha that is what I was thinking! Damn Dr. are the best!

His doc realizes that this joker is gonna be injecting himself with shit no matter what he says, so instead of having him injecting shit that might as well be made in a bath tub for all he knows, he puts him on human grade hormone that he knows is sterile, has quality control checks, etc.

In a way its like giving junkies clean needles. You can tell the junkie not to use dope and see what happens or you can give the junkie clean needles and atleast he/she will be less likely to have hepatitis or a fucked heart valve.

Chris not a dig on you just curious, why do people say its made in a bath tub? I can't imagine having to bend over a tub to heat, filter and bottle AAS. Guess I am just too lazy. LOL

Lol I know it's notmade in a bath tub. Just emphasizes the fact there's no real way to how pure or safe ug stuff is. There's also no wayfor a doc to be sure a pt is getting human gradestuff unless it's w/ his/her rx

Just a follow up to my original post. Went back to doc 3 weeks ago to have my test checked again. I never started the test gel that he wanted me to. My test level came back
at 98. I guess I really shut myself down. I tried to talk him into the injectible test but now he doesn't seem like he's gonna go for it. I started the Testim gel 50 mg. Stuff smells like
b.o. and from what I read the average levels of test range around 350. I told him I would like the injectibles again but he said he's had very good results form the Testim and I should
get blood work done in another 2 weeks and if it;s still low he will put me on 100 mg. testim per day. I'm just gonna go along with this for now, but if i don't like the results I may consider
just taking my own aas- maybe 250 mg. test e per week. My sex drive is non-existent and me muscles are shrinking!

youre 55, what do you expect? youre not going to grow and hold muscle like someone half your age. you could always find another doctor. i wouldnt self medicate but do as you wish.

Yeah, I guess I have to stop comparing myself to the younger guys in the gym. I just want to get back to normal levels right now.
