So I was in between appointments today got a knock at the door FedEx guy a letter from head office. Marked November 30th as per our conversation today your employment at XYZ is being terminated effective today. Ummm what phone conversation? WTF? I called the HR director ASAP umm yeah bad news is yes I am being let go … good news they f’d up royal on the delivery of the message wondering if I should bother suing or just take the compensation and look for something else.

Grab them by the short hairs for doing it at Christmas time...never understood why companies would shit on their goodwill like that.

The dirty bastards!

As bad as you probably feel right now, you have to look for the silver lining:

1. You have the compensation to keep you going for the next few weeks

2. Everyone should collect EI at least once in their life...it's YOUR money, after all, that's been taken off of your paychecks all your life up until this point for just such an occasion. EI will give you time to find a job you actually want, not just the first thing that comes along

3. This could be the push you need to leave your comfort zone and really strive for the next level

Hope you have lots of people around you that will be liberal with the hugs for the next few days as it sinks in, but it will be fine...trust me.

True I am 5 out of 9 that has been let go in the same postion since being with this company for over a year. I was not happy so I know that there are only good things to come my way things will get better I know that I feel like something great is going to happen a little fucked eh. Or maybe I am just so postive I am slightly retard. LOL

Sadly my parents are in Florida right now so no hugs from them for aboout a week, I do have some good friends have to take of advanage of hugs from them.
 
Doesn't Canadian law say if you post boobs you get an extra week severance?

I neeed find a lawyer If they don't want me to work for a year those mother fuckers better pay me a years salary.
 
Unless you signed a non-compete I don't see how that is enforceable. Heck, my sister (OB-GYN) did sign a non-compete it was ruled invalid. Even if you did it's possibly unenforceable because you didn't leave voluntarily.

Not in the city or at pearson it has been a record breaker but north of the city is getting snow now so we will likely too soon.

Out here, I can't see the road from my window. It's completely covered. The funny part is that it will likely (hopefully) be gone by tomorrow or by Sunday because of the dryness.

They hired to many people for the size of the territory. Put this into persepctive there was more people on the GTA (great toronto area) then there was on the team the company has for metro new york (which also covers jersey) the metro new york area is more then 10 times lareger then the GTA.
