Well I downloaded the Hulk

The copy you downloaded was a bootleg unfinished work in progress hence the shitty special effects. The effects you saw were basically "stage 1" in the whole process, and the movie you saw wasnt edited the way it will be shown to the masses.

But the effects look shitty in the trailer too. And the trailer is what's supposed to sell the damn thing.

One day they will be able to get the lighting down pat to make CGI animates look real. That's the whole reason he doesn't look real is because of the lighting on him.

The Jurassic Park series seemed to get it right, maybe others need to follow their lead. They probably had the most realistic CGI I have seen to date.Very detailed and realistic looking.

I say what will make it gay is the license they took w/ the Hulk. I'm pretty sure in the comic book he wasn't 10ft tall, nor could he fly, nor could he toss tanks around like they were tetherballs.
Of course no comic book movie is completely faithful, but at least get the main character's abilities right, sheesh.

Well...the Hulk is MUCH larger than an average person. In the trailer, he's not flying, he's leaping, and that's also done in the comic. The tank thing fits as well.

I'm more concerned with the storyline...hope it's done well. I've seen a couple of references to something about his dad experimenting on him, and that in conjunction with the gamma radiation is what made him the Hulk. I could be wrong, but I don't think that's from the comics.

in the comic he could toss around tanks, jump miles at a time, and was the strongest creature ever to walk the planet.

When are they going to learn that people just aren't down with this total-CGI shit? To create a CGI character like that may be a technical masterpiece, but that's not the measuring stick by which audiences are going to judge the film. They're going to look at it and think, "That doesn't look real at all. I'm not buying it." It's hard to get into a story when something that fake and cartoony looking is juxtaposed against a real background and human characters.

Fuck "The Hulk" and the horse it rode in on.

Great points. Take Gollum in the Lord of the Rings as another example. While his CGI was great, the movie wasn't based solely on it. In "The Hulk's" case it is.

Maybe watching it will be different, but the previews look hokey as hell.
