Wealth gap between whites, minorities widens

Don't be alarmed. I'm sure our wonderful US public education system is giving those disadvantaged people the tools they need to rise-up to financial equality any day now.

Yep...if that doesn't work...well, there's always the right to bear arms.

But the rich people will be able to buy better guns!

Perhaps we should form a new government agency dedicated to handing-out high performance handguns to low-income people.

After all, fair is fair.

True, but there is more of one group then another and one group is more desperate then another.

So you are saying the more desperate group will work harder to better their condition and therefore our "War on Poverty" is a complete waste of money?

I have to agree.

We both know that the War on Povery or Drugs or anything is stupid.

I'd like to believe that people begin to believe in the laws of supply / demand system.

However, the regulations and subsidies prevent it from being fair.

I'm always been surprised that there isn't more of a revolt against it. I mean really...do the world need that much corn?

All the subsidies and 85%+ of the regulation needs to go.

And the laws of supply and demand do work. Adam Smith figured this stuff out before "the troubles in the colonies" (a.k.a. The American Revolutionary War).

You're starting to sound like a mean-spirited conservative!

lmao...

The subsidies are crazy. The amount of foreign bases is crazy. The Wheat Board is crazy.

popping out a bunch of kids, taking siestas / smoking crack, and doing a bunch of bullshit with your community is def gonna hit your net worth hard. but those are the choices some peeps are gonna make

And yours, too, since you're paying for they're subsidies.

yea that def sux, but throwing some bones to stupid lazy poors every now and again is what allows a system favoring cooperative ambitious smarts to remain in power without either enduring massive violent crime and revolts, or implementing eugenics

i think it is a lot harder than people think to take away hand-outs and have our society still function; i think we are erring in favor of excess welfare, but perhaps not by too much
