Kaz is still the best all around lifter ever. Yes, his records have been broken on paper but nobody has proven to be stronger, and isn't powerlifting supposed to be about pure strength?
his best raw bench was 661, that has been demolished, and yes by raw lifters, you do know he wore a squat suit and knee wraps right? he wore what was available at the time, jsut like the guy do now. you do know guys back them used knee wraps on thier elbows to bench, and put tennis balls behind thier knees and wrapped them, some even moved squat jacks out of the way after they lifted off so they would not have to walk out the weight, just like a mono does today. not to mentoin aas was easily available. it has alway been about gaining an advantage and comparing lifters of 20-30 years ago to todays lifters is as silly as doing it in other sports, it can't be done. kaz was the best in his day, but not today.
