We just upgraded the forums! If things went well, you should not notice any difference except for cleaner URLs! If you run into any problems, kindly post them in this thread.

My number one complaint...for months and months now, I haven't been able to use the "stealth feature" (expertpcsupport)... after I log onto it, every time I click on profile, among other links, I get this error message:

You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
You are not logged in. Fill in the form at the bottom of this page and try again.
You may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
---------------------------

It constantly asks me to sign in. I know others have had this or similar problems.

Well that sucks - let's see if we can get that fixed for you. First off, try the three steps in this thread:

If none of that works, click the Help link at the top of the page and send us an email (put your username and password in the email so we can try and reproduce the problem). Or, since you are Plat, just give us a call at 888-613-8959 and we will get this worked out for you.
 
i only noticed a quick glitch of missing images for buttons, avatars and karma in new threads, but that is gone now, was only about five minutes total.
 
George, the STEALTH feature is not working.

And I need you to send me my password for the admin panel.

Nope, none of that works... I've tried it all before, per the recommendations I had gotten the few times I emailed support. They just stop "supporting" after a while and I just left it alone. Haven't used this feature since.

I'll send another email, hopefully it will get resolved this time.
 
George the word "as" is coming out as Anabolic Steroids.

See, did it again. the word is the letter "a" followed by the letter "s"
 
I know I am non plat low-life, but how come the QUICK REPLY window no longer appears at the bottom of each thread page?
I now need to hit "post reply" to reply in any thread

Actually, I just noticed that as well.
 
Did not notice many bugs before but certain things do seem to have problems with permissions i.e. certain parts like arcade games if you follow the link you do not have permission to play but in a new browser you do. Maybe local settings not sure

No I seem to have problems with certain words. Like a.s. It comes up a.s anabolic steroids unless I put in the period to seperate the letter. That is the only prob I have found so far. Thanks ....38N....

this word expansion needs some sort of user-controlled trigger/prefix like "_", "~", or something like that else I think it will be difficult to manage. i think making it work smoothly while being totally automatic will be a real challenge. i have already seen some obnoxious posts resulting from it

YES , great forums here.
I did have a problem not being able to post (while the thing was going on I guess) but 5 min in 2 years is a pretty damn good record !
 
Forcing multiple names on a drug is overkill, too, in this kind of setting.

Leave "as", do the auto-correction with AAS, NPP, hCG and what have you, but limit them to one name. "Deca durabolin -- nandrolone decanoate" is redundant.

Ok, these new changes are driving me friggin' NUTS! The word a-s is coming up as "anabolic steroids"... and I HATE how it spells out the words for any acronym!

Stop it!

Well, George, general concensus seems to be:

1. Most of us don't want to be told thanks for posting, thanks for donating karma, thanks for sending a PM, etc., etc., etc.

2. Everything seems to be running slower for at least some of us.

3. A whole bunch of us don't like being redirected to the thing we just posted (although there seems to be a split on that).

4. This whole "Please be patient while we implement your search" (or whatever it says) and then its taking twice as long as it used to when you click on "Today's Posts" is for the birds.

5. Most of us could take or leave the abbreviation feature. Frankly I PM'd someone the other day and used the phrase "Take it as I'm saying it ..." the PM they received said "Take it anabolic androgenic steroids I'm saying it ..." which completely changes the content of the message, don't you think? (and no, the PM did not contain the typo anabolic androgenic steroids versus as, I went back and checked.

But mainly the board seems a LOT slower. Gotta tell you honestly, whoever sold you that it was an UPgrade, I think they were yanking your chain. I've always been under the impression upgrade meant improvement; this is not an improvement. It's more an EXTREMELY annoying add-on that makes me think of the commercials about Window's Vista, in fact, and you specifically said we wouldn't notice anything but "cleaner URLs" (whatever that means) and we're all definitely noticing stuff.

DEFINATELY slower response time...i've tried on 4 different computers and internet hook ups. :(
 
I love it.except for the a.s thing that sucks.I know this means more people coming to the site threw searches and thats great.keep up the good work.

also the direct link thing I talked about before do you think you will ever do that.where the words of steroids or products become a direct link to a description of the product and maybe a sponsor that can provide that product.

This needs to be changed.
Everything back to the way it was and take wroguns advice about adding a glossary for clarification, so not everbody is subject to this punishment.
I appreciate you trying to improve the board but this is just a hastle.

I am betting no matter how many people dont like it its here to stay.for the google search reasons alone.
 
a suggestion would to make having abbreviations spelled out for you an option that can be turned on and off, if like it leave it on, if u dont-turn it off. please give us the choice. my .02

these are the main things i hate about the "upgrade" i hope you get it fixed back to how it was because i have a short attention span especially if things annoy me like these do...

same here i tried it on works computer and my laptop, is alot slower than before

I couldn't agree more. It's incredibly annoying.

And frankly I've reached the stage in my life that I won't pay for crap that annoys me :whatever:
 
Ok, we've fixed a lot of this - I appreciate your patience. Here's what I have left:

1. When you post, there is an annoying interlude page and you are directed back to the thread you posted in instead of to the forum.

2. There are big problems with the stealth site ExpertPCSupport.com.

What else are we missing?

exactly. i will be hesitant to pay for a platinum membership if these "upgrades" are still in place
 
Orgasms seem weaker after the upgrade. That and the annoying expansion of words similar to HçG and PçT.

May I suggest that the scanning of a post to make the substitutions not apply to post edits?

the site seems alot slower, and iv tried it on 3 computers now and the same on each one..

I agree that posting is slower, but I do not see that browsing is slower. Are both slower for you?
 
Ok, I spead up the annoying interlude page - we will remove it completely very soon - that fix is in progress.

yes posting is slower, but browsing has just goten faster in the last 5 mins on this computer anyway, i will try my laptop..

Agreed .. and what do you call those pages that thank us for posting, giving K, sending a PM? Interlude pages? Do they serve a purpose?

I've noticed no differance in speed, just having to wait for the interlude pages when posting and sending pm's gets tedious.
