Valium ?

Alright, I tried a 10mg blue ardin brand valium for the first time tonight. I didn't feel much of anything. I thought 10 mg was alot to go with if I have never used them before. I wasn't taking them to sleep but to relax and get a little buzz. Someone told me that they kind of felt like pain pills but obviously that is not true. Would it be safe to go with 20mg next time? By the way this was on an empty stomach and I weigh around 235 pounds if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

The potency of generic Valium varies wildly. You will feel the effects of some at 10mg, others you might have to take 30mgs. No danger in trying 20mgs.

I can take almost any benzo with super high doses to feel anything...I took em all versed, restoral, ativan, klonapin, v's, roofies.
Everyones differnt I took enough benzos to kill an elephant and was fine.

I am the opposite - 5mg to feel nice, 10mg to put my ass out.

maybe I'm just a pussy when it comes to pills though.

I don't think it would hurt to take 20mg...don't drive or anything just in case... I think you have to take a fuckload of benzo's before you are in any real trouble.

I think that you're safe from harm up to like 50mg. I say this because of what the anesthesiologist said to me before my knee operation. I didn't want a general anesthetic, so I asked for a spinal. Well, because of dense/tight back muscles, the doc couldn't get the needle between my vertebrae correctly. I heard him cursing himself, and he said he shoulda hit me with 50mg of Valium beforehand to loosen the muscles up. So, I can only assume that anything under 50 should be safe, providing you aren't mixing them with alcohol or any other depressants.

20mg of valium ain't that high of a dose. The thing is with valium, and most benzos, especially the slower ones, is that they are not made to knock you on your ass. The are made to either relax you AND allow you to function throughout the day. Some HELP you sleep, but won't knock you out. Most people can tolerate high dosages of benzos and still function, this is why they are probably the most prescribed drug. Just make sure you don't do 'em everyday, try and it least space it out every 3 or 4 days or so. Withdrawal from benzos is the most horrible thing you can experience, some say it's easier to detox from heroin.
