usps shows up on sunday

alright here is the story I ordered some liquidex,,, nothing major right,,, well the post man shows up knocking on my door on sunday and being the paranoid fuck I am I did not answer the door. He left a not saying that I have to sign for the package,,, I have never had that happen before. Does this sound fishy?

a lot of times they try to get a sig on an express package, even if it's marked no sig required....they often don't even look....I wouldn't worry about it.....

call local post office from a pay phone and ask if they usually deliver on sundays whens theres a holiday the following day. Then you can be sure. I have never heard of government workers working on sundays in most cases, especially usps. That seems shady. I wouldn;t take a risk.

Express is guaranteed by a certain date...and isn't cheap either. Sounds like they needed to make the delivery attempt today so they could have their holiday tomorrow.

I work for the P.O. and it more than likely came from the special delivery unit. I highly doubt that you have any regular carriers working Sundays unless it is just before Christmas. I personally have delivered express packages just before Christmas on Sundays, even Christmas day. Also, if it was the Postal investigators hoping to nab you, they would do their best to not alarm you, and would have waited until you expected to see the mailman.

was it express mailed or not? I know that they do ship on sundays for express mail, because they have to compete with Fedex, but that type of shipping cost a lot more.
