Fuck those promos made Lyoto look like a dominating force. Hell my grandma could have gone 5 rounds with that constipated pickle tonight.

Valesquez was very impressive

Rua vs. Machida - I would've given it to Machida too but not by a unanimous decision it was so close it could've gone both ways...

I think Vegas had something to do with that call. I felt like he didn't do anything but run around and get punched and kicked. Stupid call on the decision IMO.

The most inexplicable decision I've seen yet in any kind of fighting. Shogun did everything except take machida down or knock him out. But he tried....he was the aggressor the whole match. Machida, i like him personally, but he's boring as fuck. How can they reward him for running away from shogun the whole fight? When he came anywhere near Rua he got his leg kicked the fuck up! By the 3rd round he was fighting as a rightey cause that leg was linguine. I guarantee he's not walking much today if at all. Rua kicked him harder and more often than any fight I've ever seen except for crocop highlight reels. I could see giving the champ the fight in a close match if the other guy was timid....but that was not the case. Rua was walking down machida most of the fight but obviously wasn't flying at him cause we all know that' machida's strength as a counterfighter. Ridiculous......those judges must not understand MMA.

I wood love to hear Machida's after fight press conference.

Believe I'll go search sherdog for it now :)

Machida's style is evasion..he's never the "aggressor." Octagon control isn't necessarily based on stalking. You could argue it's about making your opponent fight your fight. I haven't actually watched the fight so I won't comment on it directly but Machida evading and countering is his style.

Being generous, I would give Machida only 1 round (3rd). Shogun clearly won every other round & anyone who knows how mma is scored would have to admit the same thing... the outcome was total BS

I realize that, but you can't give a guy a fight who was unable to do anything to his opponent...just "evaded" the entire match. Usually guys get frustrated and fall into the counterstrikers trap, which is how Machida wins his fights. He has knocked dude's out like that and I'm not hating on it, it's a legit strategy. "BUT", if a guy like shogun comes in and pwns the fight but couldn't get the big knockout cause of that evasive style of his opponents......you've got to give him the fight even if the other guy is the champ. That notion that you have to knock the champ out is bullshit.
