Well after almost 1 year to the date I get home this afternoon from lunch and a couple beers at the bar with my buds and the phone rings and it's the owner of 1 of the larger contractors in town offering me a light duty position on a 2 year project @ $34.50hrx40hrs. I damn near fell over backwards. While this is a tremendously physical job, theres also plenty of work that involves more thinking and less hammer--like laying out equipment locations etc. all of which im pretty good at. My job will basically consist of that and being a foreman of one of the buildings on the job.

So as soon as I get back from rafting in Colorado monday im suppose to go over to the owners house for a discusion, pick my union card back up tuesday, and be back to work very shortly.

I have to go outside soon and drink beer and smash my head into the wall and make sure im not sleeping.

Yeah that would be cool but this trip is more for my wife than anything as she just lost both her parents and she wants to see here sis there in Colorado and were more able to make the commut there as she is to here.

Besides..........id rather wait awhile to restore some of my former glory before hooking up-I'd hate to disappoint anyone-lmao.
