If you knew anything about the middle east, you'd know that women and children are used as shields all the time in armed conflict. They do not have the regard for human life that we have.

These soldiers are bringing food, water, medicine, and many other things to these people as the battles are over. Funny how most other Iraqis understand to stop when the soldiers tell them to... You must really hate the US... Funny how the majority of people understand that they have to stop. After the first suicide attack, and threats of more from the Iraqi VP, they're lucky we're allowing ANY refugees to run away. Well, it's a known fact that Sadaam uses women and children as human shields. Do they march them in front of tanks? No, it's more subtle than that. I notice how you fail to mention how the Repub. Guard were firing on Iraqi civilians running TOWARD American troops trying to get away from the RG and fedayeen.

Well, it was all over the news, if I find a link I'll post it, but all the news stations aired it on TV, even CNN and Fox. Here's the deal... They have to stop at the checkpoints, our soldiers shouldn't have to take that kind of risk when all they're trying to do is allow the refugees to get away from the battle. You don't stop, you win the wet t-shirt contest, period.

While that's great propaganda, it doesn't affect me, because I've seen combat, and seen the devastation it causes. However, it is a proven fact that Sadaam puts his military resources as close to civilian dwellings as possible for the sole purpose of shock value when he is attacked. The civilians that are dying now, (for the most part) are dying because Sadaam put them where they are. It is war, there are going to be civilian casualties.
