Trying to battle hairloss early, what can I do?

tical

Banned
I've noticed some excess shedding over the last couple of years (before gear), nothing dramatic but I know that mpb is slowly kicking in.

I don't have a severe pattern or anything but I know my frontal hairline and I know something is slightly off.

What can I do to stop (heh) or slow this process down as much as possible?

Is it possible to grow back some of this hair? I've heard frontal hairloss is the hardest to deal with, is this true?

Any input would be much appreciated!

hiya, pharmacist, i get asked all the time

go and see a specialist for an assessment first and foremost. sure 99% of the time it really is mpb and not something else, but its best to be sure.

you will likely be prescribed finasteride (propecia/proscar) or minoxidil (rogaine). once you have the prescription/diagnosis, go to a doctor and get the prescription from them, and buy your drugs from a regular online pharmacy to save money. a lot of money. those clinics are murder.

thats it. the sooner you go, the less hair follicles will die (they go into a sort of hibernation for a while and arent dead, even though you arent producing viable hair) and so you will see an improvement in your hairline

cheers

I have gotten NOTICEABLE results from this guy's products:

Good luck.

The problem is a build up of dht. Finestarides or Rogain will battle it and save a few strands for later. Good luck.

If it's MPB your best bet is to use:

Xanadrox 15% solution at night
Xanadrox 5% at day
Spironolactone 5% lotion night and/or day
Finasteride (Propecia) or better yet Avodart (Dutasteride) once a day
Treatment shampoo 2 times a week (2% Ketoz)

That regimn will help you keep about 100% of your hair.

Agreed, but you have to be careful with finasteride. Running it with tren or deca will actually make hairloss WORSE!

This has not yet become common knowledge in the bodybuilding community.

(BTW, i'm sure you want to know the science behind it, i'll go find it)

minoxidil 5% is my standard treatment. I has worked well for me. I have been using for 6-7 years now. You can generic minoxidil pretty cheap.

It is not true that minoxidil does not work along the hairline. In tests that were done, the only used it on the vortex. So they can't claim that it will work on the temple area. At least it worked for me.

Typically the longer the hair has been gone, the less chance that it will regrow.

You can also use Propecia. It has been proven to be effective. I tried it once or twice but it did effect my sexually so I dropped it. Some have said that the sexual side effects go away over time. But I didn't want to find out.

There are additives that can be used with minoxidil. Retin-a and azelic acid.

Junks email talks about these and I have used these. They are probably worthwhile to try but are more expensive the generic.

I use the "Big 3" that they talk about on the hair loss sites:

-Finasteride (Propecia)
-2% Ketoconazole Shampoo (Nizoral)
-Minoxidil 5% (Rogaine)

I order my propecia (proscar that I split up) from dru-online.com in India for the past couple of years and have been very happy with them. Since I'm in Canada I can get Nizoral 2% at Walmart, but Americans can only get 1%. I know some Amercians who use www.nizoral2percent.com or www.nizoralshampoo.com
As for the 5% Minoxidil the best place is EBay, and Americans are lucky as the 5% is OTC (not the case in Canada).
