I have always done a one on/one off with my training, cardio is a.m. on my on days, weights is p.m. which with a 4 day split gives me an 8 day rotation. Have seen good gains with this.
I see alot of different approaches, ex two on, one off etc which bring the rotation to every 7 days cardio sometimes thrown in on the off days with one day totally off each week.
My question is there an optimal split for gains and do I need to crank it up a bit while on? The differnce in a 7 day or an 8 day is a difference of 31 training days per year.
 
are you admitting that a regular cardio program might be in order for you????
It's easier for me to judge when I am not on as I can tell by the way that I feel the next day but when I am on ox it doesn't matter what I do - the next day I never feel like I did a damn thing the night before...
 
Damn Temple, you recover that quickly from Ox?!?!... I have some Spa here and I am dying to try them... they are calling my name;) and I can hardly resist:D

Ox is the only A/S that I have ever done so I have no basis for comparison but when I am not on I have severe DOMS regularly and when on I can't make myself sore. Combine that with the mental "feel good" that you get from it, increased rate of healing for any injury and the increased libido - few to no sides in my case. Well, I just love it!
