Training for lacrosse..

Hey, I'm a sophmore inHS, and I've never played Lacrosse, but I did crew before. i wanna join my lacrosse team this spring, but Im worried since ive never played. do schools let you play on the team if youve never played, and 'train you' in some way?

also, what muscle groups should be the focus of my workouts for lacrosse? Thanks! :heart:
 
High schools generally have open tryouts for all their sports, just check with the coach. The same goes for a workout program, the coach should be able to tell you what to work on. I would think that your workout would be a mix of strength training and cardio.

First off good luck, i would try and focus on a basic weight training program, but athleticism and quickness is a must, so SPRINT!!
 
in lacrosse you push and check ppl alot, definitely legs, chest shoulders and tris, if you did crew your bis and back must be stronger, correct?
