too much whey ruins me

My diet is very high in Protein. I usually try and get over 400 grams a day. I always alternate solid meals with my shakes... All my shakes are EAS Just Whey. If I have more shakes than meals my stomach goes crazy... Does this happen to anyone else. Why does this take place?

I think that product has whey concentrate in it which may contain lactose and you may be sensitive to it. It can be helpful to rotate between protein powders to prevent allergies. I would say too, that you may want to try limiting the drinks to two a day.-val

you know what i found out. personally i need to eat something solid perhaps like an hr or less before shake. or eat small solid meal combined with shake. if i have not eaten for a few hrs, just a shake messes with my stomach. just my 2cents

MrMakaveliI,
weigh about 270 pounds(6-2, 17%bf). I have been eating a low carb diet and trying to get about 1.5 grams of Protein per pound of body weight... Not on anything illegal... I have been limiting carbs to right after workouts and 1 or 2 carb-up meals a week. I have to boost my protein frequency to maintain energy through the day...

Thanks for all the input..

Get yourself some ginger root extract. Also, try to lower the proteinpowder shakes and up on the meat/fish. Tuna might taste like shit, but if you mix it with tomatoes and spice it up a bit It's ok. There are also cottage cheese low fat.
Drink lots of water with the protein, and eat slow. If it goes to far and you cant stand the farts and stomach pains thenI would considering a keto diet with more fat and less protein.
My stomach goes crazy with most protein powders, I therefor concentrate on real foods like meat. It's as bit more expensive yea, but I rather pay a bit more $$ so I can walk around not having massive gas. White fish is very good, tuna is good also. Include some fats with the protein and also eat lots of fibers.

A tip: When you make your shake, always let it sit for a while so the airbubbles in the shake can go away.

You might try another protein powder.

Oh okay that makes sense then, try what is suggested above. Anabolic Fitness is selling some ginger root that is supposed to prevent the heart-burn that accompanies all other brands..just an idea.

whey protien is only really good after you workout .....its breaks down so fast like 15-30 mins
