U will only keep what your body naturally can otherwise yes u will have to keep on a low dose of something if u want to stay bigger than what your body can handle. All depends on what u want of course.

Ya but the bigger you get for longer periods of time, the more your body can handle. Bones get denser; ligaments, tendons, and connective tissue get denser and stronger; etc. I believe with enough time, your body can add capacity and is able to handle and maintain more, even while off AAS.

sorry krishna dont buy this. is this your theory or do you have some science to back this up? not calling you out here but i think you are off one this one. bones get denser? tendons get denser? connective tissue (what is that anyhow) get stronger?

You've never heard that AAS can increase bone density? What about deca strengthening tendons? Nobody seems to have any evidence to back up their genetic limits theory either.

Bro's,

The cold hard reality about steroid use at least as it pertains to most of us, is that it allows us to achieve physiques that otherwise would be unattainable when you factor in the demands of our everyday lives.

If you just take a moment and think about your own lives, the things that you have to do every day that don't involve working out or eating right. These demands are ever present and are constantly competing for the attention that we would otherwise like to give to our workout endeavors. Pro bodybuilders do this for a living with most of their day being focused on the development of their physique. However, for most of us, we don't have this luxury and are constantly having to make choices between working out and eating right and dealing with everyday life.

Using myself as an example, steroids afford me the luxury of dealing with everyday life and still developing a respectable physique. Steroids do this by streamlining the process in which one must go through to sculpt their physique, thus effectively reducing the amount of time and energy required. I need to make one thing clear though you still have to work out hard in the gym and eat right but with steroids the return on the time invested will be much greater.

This leads me to the point about genetic potential. Following the argument I just put forth, genetic potential becomes more of an academic debate rather than a reality that we can apply to our own lives.

You've been here since '02 and only have 1800+ posts? Wtf is the matter with you? You shoulda been sharing this genius of yours long ago!

That link is just a small bbc post. There are tons of other resources out there. Do a search to find more info.

Genetics obviously play a huge role in bodybuilding, down to how lean you are, insertions and origins, how you respond to drugs, how much muscle you can hold, etc. That said, I think as soon it gets tough people just use that as an excuse to not go all out anymore. Everyone slows down subconsciously because they don't think they can gain anymore. Hell, I catch myself doing it when I'm off. I guess it's just human nature.
