Is the biggest backwater cluster fuck organization I have ever encountered. I work security for a company that makes scanning equipment, they are based out of New York. However, I "used" to work for another company that also made scanning equipment, but when the company from New York bought out the old company, I stayed on here in the same building, just now I worked for "company A". Ok, now company A's equipment was used in the DC post offices and Indianapolis offices, the equipment did come in contact with the packages/letters that were verified to have anthrax in them. So what does the post office do?? They just package up the equipment and send it back to company A..........no biohazard packaging or anything. Naturally company A is livid and will be testing all employees that came into contact with the returned equipment. Now where this "could" have effected me.........if the equipment being used by the post office would have been from the old company B, than the return packages would have come to my building and I or the 1st shift guard would have come within "direct" contact with them. Sometimes we help out the employees in this building by taking the packages to them and opening some of them if there is alot of packages to be opened. Why wouldn't they have destroyed the equipment??? Or at least sent the equipment to be thoroughly tested?? They better hope no one from the New York offices gets anything, or the post office is DEEP shit!!!

i hope to hell if anyone is unfortunate to contract it they sue em for everthing

as if the government didnt already haea hardenogh time blood testing, now they pull this shit. im still in awe they did this. it begs the question who sent it and were they authorised. the only feasible reason i could forsee is if the equipment was sterilised by steam or radiation, or pressure/heat

but even then anthrax spores can surviv a fucking explosion so youd really have to juice them. this is crimnal negligence. shocking

ok, I read the company email sent out about this, a correction...........the equipment was in need of repair and sent to my companies repair facilities in Indianapolis. So the post office was sending the equipment back because they needed repair, apparently it didn't even dawn on them to even test the equipment for anthrax exposure...........ubeleivable!!!

Hehehehe, my company has an ENORMOUS legal department, they're located in thier own "plaza" in New York, I don't think they need the legal consultations of RyanH........;-)
