today workout was a huge "suck you" workout..my shoulder still felt like it was being worked already and not even had to put on my shirt yet....of course i did do 4-boards(RAW) on monday but didn't mention it in my log brothas. today i looked back on it and i should of done that shit with a shirt..now i know huh? on the 4-boards, the pain appeared there during one of those sets and decided to move on to floor presses. i was merely seein what i could do with the shoulder. today, 405 wouldn't budge from the pain in my shoulder plus the pain in my forearm to match. so here are some things i have to do at this point:

- decrease benching to once a week-
everytime i took a week off from benchin, my shoulder was a lot better off, this means alternating ME/DE bench days.
- more rotator cuff work
(i'll be doin those movements that PH1977 recommended to me in the first place)
- rest every 4 weeks of training
- do board work with a shirt...bigvader(my board) had preached this to me and now i have to really fuckin listen
- reverse band movements and speed bench on bench days
- more upper-end work
- on mondays will be more maintenance and assistance work for chest, shoulders and tris

with the hoildays comin up i'll be takin more of a rest towards the end of the year..i feel like i need it so after this break i'll train again for another 3 weeks or so and take the rest of the year off..not completely. there were some rotator cuff exercises PH recommended so i'm going to take a look at those now. don't worry my brothas..550 will fuckin fall soon and then 600!! tb

You may not like this, but a complete break from benching altogether may allow things to fully heal and for you get rid of the imbalances. Otehrwise, your just prolonging the agony by continuing to bench :)

i always believe that there's another way around things and other lifters have experienced this problem as well and managed to work around it...i believe that is the same for me. sorry, i'm a powerlifter who has that.."don't quit" attitude..LOL. its a curse i guess...:D

oh in that case..i was thinkin the same thing...with the holidays comin up i might get a 3 week break before the new years which will do me some good. but your right though brotha.."short term sacriface for a better future!!"..thanx. tb

I think you have already got it figured out TB. Take a short break to let things heal. Do some light rotator work and get that shoulder in shape to kill 550.

Don't let it get ya down bro! Work through that shit, but be careful bro, hate to see ya get hurt and be unable to train. Go get that 550 and nail that 600 to the fuckin wall:mad:
Keep training HARD bro!!

Tough break bro, shoulder pain really sucks. Hope you get better soon (and you -will- cause you're going to work those rotators lol)
