The Ticket Thread

Alright, so I'm sure we have all gotten speeding tickets or various tickets. Or at least been pulled over once.

inspired by superdave's thread. what have you done to get yourself out of a ticket? have you ever done anything ridiculous.

my father told me this story of his buddy who was going 85 in his camaro, and his girlfriend was with him. he was pulled over and he told his gf to put the pillow in the back in her stomach. she did and the cop came and she started moaning and he told the cop he had to get her to the hospital. the cop agreed and left.
pretty damn impressive.

If you get a cop that isn't an asshole on a power trip (probably less than 20% lol) you can usually get out of it by just being honest and respectful. I was super nice to a cop once and he told me to just be careful and slow down. One other time I cried because it was just another bad thing to happen in my shitty day and the bastard told me tears were not getting me out of the ticket.

I was pulled over by a female cop and rightfully deserved to be talked to. I was honest and nice, she ran the plate and came back with the ticket book in hand. I didn't do much different that I can recall but when she told me it'd be a warning I smiled and thanked her. When she said I was free to go I asked her if she'd like to meet me at the deli for lunch. Smoothest move eva' with the po lease!

Haven't had a ticket for 11 years aside from when the ex stopped paying the insurance while we were getting divorced. UHP pulled up behind me and had some scanner thing that let him know I was uninsured. I had no idea. So, I found out that since the insurance wasn't paid, my license and registration were revoked. Car got impounded, I got a number of fines, had to go to court since driving with no insurance is a misdemeanor. All said and done it was over $1,200 in fines.
