THe scariest moment of my life happened about 2 hours ago

hey bro i had the exact same thing happen,i just layed down and it passed,i just felt sick for about 3 hours afterwards, really think about this,i know it was a big scare,i was scared to but i knew what i did because ive read what has happened to other guys, good luck with whatever route you choose

Do you guys always aspirate when you do glute, and thigh injections?? I've only done glute injections, but never aspirated. How dangerous is this?? You guys really got me worried now !!! Aspirate means to pull up on the plunger, to see if you hit a vein right?? I could really use some reliable information right about now:worried: :worried: :worried:

Spunky - Go with your gut feeling. If you don't want to inject, then don't inject. Don't let anybody talk you into doing something that you don't want to do. Use this as a learning experience & remember that you gotta be true to yourself. I believe I'm right in saying that we're behind you 100% in whatever decision you decide to make. I know that you'll make the one that's right for you.

Best of luck

so the chances of u dying are very slim from injecting it in a vein? i thought i was about to die. =)

It would take a large amount of stuff to be injected directly into a vein for it to be fatal.

if you talk to doctors (my dad is one), they'll tell you that aspirating is a poor technique. when you aspirate, sometimes you pull the walls of the blood vessel together, and see no blood in the syringe, but are still in a vessel. he said the safest technique is to just touch the plunger back, so as to create a very mild suction, and/or move the needle in and out as you inject, spreading the oil pocket out, so that no matter what, very little will get into a blood vessel. also, spreading an injection out over a larger area, will decrease the time it takes to get the steroid into the bloodstream.

I work in a hospital and the most common systemic reactions that I have seen like this included difficulty breathing, coughing, itching and alot of other symptoms similar to this. Some guys mess with the bi's and tri's for Injections, I personally dont see the need unless you are trying to build up a lagging bodypart. You are less likley to hit a vein in the glute, so I would go with it form here on out.

P.S. Most of the nurses that I work with only inject smaller length and gauge needles into the delts otherwise they use the glute or thigh. You also can have a systemic reaction like this without actually hitting a vein although it will be worse if you do hit a vein.

hope this helped bro
