The right Gas to use for a Keto program, no fuckin energy at all for workouts

For those of you who dont know me I am 26, 6'2 255 lbs right now. competitive BBer. Done several cycles over the past 3 years or so.

Anyhow I am seeing how my body responds to extremely low carb diet(30-50 daily), getting calories from about 400 grams of protein(lean steak, eggs, whites, powders, chicken, ect), lots of healthy fats(olive oil, flax, hemp oil, whole eggs, peanut butter, almonds, macadamias ect) and lots of healthy greens.

So far I gotta say i really have mixed reviews. I am eating almost 5,000 kcal a day and I dropped 22 lbs in the first 8 days(i contribute much of that to water bloat obviously). I look and feel tighter and my energy throughout the day is constant. but I feel like a total bitch at the gym. I have NO energy for high intensity workouts I used to do, plus, everything hurts a helluva lot more. I am finding it very hard to get motivated to push myself. I even went into the old school hydroxycut stash to really no avail.

So to counter this I was thinking about running a quick burst cycle. maybe some fast acting prop, Dbol and tren for about 4 weeks then pushing some other anabolic agents like GH, T3, clen ect.
I honestly can say I do not have too much experience with Keto programs other than the little research I have done. Seems like i am doin it right but a guy my size struggling to do sets of 12 reps with DB laterals with the 15s is just fucking ridiculous.
Help? cause Im not sure i can take much more..

thanks brolys :coffee:

Nah, you know I feel fine. havent used to sticks though..I may go pick them up

honestly my energy drop was almost immediate when I started. Maybe I cannot train in my high intensity superset fashion on a program like this?

Keto is Crap man, you cannot lift weights on low carbs. Low carb is shit.

You will have 0 energy, will look sick and feel weak. And all the weightloss is mostly water anyways, so its a waste of time. Forget the keto bullshit, its a recipe for injury in the gym and a recipe for hypoglecmia attack.

Dont waste ur time with keto.

YOU CANNOT LIFT WEIGHTS ON KETO. Carbs are required.

Keto also make you look sick and depressed and they also make you lose muscle.

Go look at that kid in the Sopranos, he went on Keto Diet and lost 35lb and now looks like anorexic crack whore.

Wulfgar is an advanced bodybuilder, he knows what he is doing. Keto is not crap, it can be used very successfully, you just have to adjust everything else accordingly.

Wulfgar.. I know your workouts are super intense. I believe you hit each muscle twice per week. If anything, drop the frequency of those insane workouts or try timing your carb intake around your workouts. I fully believe my body doesnt know what time of day it is, and that my body only knows when it needs fuel and when it doesnt. Play around with less frequency or a little carb loading around your workouts..

I can't comment on GH because I do not use it first hand. But the clen and t3 makes me even more lethargic. When I am on clen and t3, crawling in and out of bed seems to be a task. But then again, everyone is different.

How far into this are you? The people i know who do this say its hell for the first 2-3 weeks until you convert over to gluconeogenesis, then your body adapts to the alternative fuel sources.

Well I am definately NOT too deep in ketosis. Peed on the stick. came up around 80. which is pretty good.
I feel the reason is not based around my total caloric intake or types of foods. But the adjustments need to be made on my timing like you said.
I am currently supplementing with some creatine, arginine supps and glutamine(mainly limit carb cravings which def have NOT been a problem). blood sugar levels are almost horrifically stable. which again is good.
I feel you are right in the fact i am going to back my workouts off to once a week. concentrate a bit more on recovery. Also during the workouts I am going to increase my rest periods from 1 min to about 2-3 and decrease rep range to 3-8 for my working sets. A far cry from the 10-15 I have been doing.
I honestly see the correct science of a properly structured keto diet. especially when it is used in advanced bodybuilding. I do not care to hold much bloat and water since it impedes my ability to see my muscles developing and prevents me from correctly troubleshooting my physique.
I know we have some other bros(Mak comes to mind) who is more knowledgeable when it comes to this. maybe he can chime in with some advices. thanks though bros for the help

Doing great, really motivated these days. I think if you hang in there things will get better. Your body hasn't converted to gluconeogenesis, its still craving carbs as the preferred fuel source. Once it realizes it not going to get those carbs, it'll start using those proteins and fats more efficiently for fuel. As far as Gh, i'm really starting to believe its not all that effective without the presence of carbs. Maybe someone can teach me something here. Good to see ya back bro, always enjoy your posts, stay in touch.

wulfgar, at 400 g of proteins/day you are NOT in keto(or not much).
In keto you need like 2-2.5 g prot/KG, if you exceed this the body will transform the rest of proteins in glucose(gluconeogenesis), so adding the carbs you are consumin, your body will "feel" that you are eating like 80-120 g carbs/day which it's not quite in the keto-zone,it's more like the low-carb diet.So I suggest you should eat max 250-300 g of prot(according to your 255 lb weight), 30-40 g carbs, and the rest of cals should come from fat-this has to be done to be in a keto diet, otherwise... who said other diets(low-carb diet) don't work? :)
You should continue with you current supplements (gluta,creat,..etc.)
Arginine helps a lot before the work-out also some coffee.

G' Luck
