I was made a mod on an aas board that is now defunct years ago and they didn't even tell me, lol.
I just logged on one day and my title had changed. I'm not here to control people at all, I'm here to have fun, express my opinions, and make some friends. And I don't need some title to say whether or not I have the ability to mentor someone. I'm not talking shit about anyone here in anyway, because the people with positions wanted and earned them. I simply don't want them and would rather just be known as my handle plain and simple. I'm sure i'm not the only who feels this way, I can tell by how some other longtime members conduct themselves.

I think people are seriously missing the point.

It is not about power or status.

People are asked to take on roles such as mentors and mods because:

1. They are very knowledgeable about things related to fitness and well-being

2. They are willing to share that information with other people

3. They share the information in a way that is beneficial to others and in service of their community
