Apples and oranges....Germany has had the greatest impact on modern military operations post Napoleon...I'll stand by that statement. Ghengis and Attila had their time but Germany made their mark and I don't see it changing in the forseeable future. When it comes to lasting changes we Germans are under represented. All modern military tactics are based on the Wehrmacht model. This isn't a cut on you....
All modern infantry tactics are derivative of the WWII Wehrmacht model. They pioneered combined arms maneuver warfare during WWI with their Sturmtruppen. The technology just hadn't caught up to the theory.
