It's funny how Pantera claim to be trend killers, when in fact they've followed damn near every trend in metal. When glam was big they released 4 glam albums. When the thrash wave came through they jumped on that bandwagon. Phil himself is the biggest hypocrite. His band Superjoint Ritual missed the hardcore punk wave by about 20 years. Same goes for Arson Anthem, another project of his. His black metal bands were laughable, also late to the party.


What's sad is the typical Pantera fan actually sees them as innovators.
