Texas longhorns have a team

I think I would like Texas if Mack Brown wasn't the head coach.

And yes. . . its always Oklahoma/Texas.

Remember, OU always steps it up in the big games.

National Championships matter when we talk National Titles.

When we talk TX OU the overall series record is what matters. Unless you are on the short side, and then of course, you would not care to discuss this statistic.

National Championships always matter to those who actually have a chance to win one unless you're on the short side, and then of course, you would not care to discuss this statistic. You guys would just be happy to beat us to remember what it feels like. You can have your Red River statistics from 1935...I'll take National Titles any day.

Of course, winning the National Championship is the goal for every Division1A college, that is a given.

However you can't rename the Weekend because you have won three games lately. Ou still trails in this series by neartly 20 losses. We are talking OU and TX, so we might as well know who owns who. OU has lost almost 20 more games against TX than they have won, and therefore it is TX OU Weekend. no matter what you say TX OWNS OU.

I don't think history matters one bit.

Whats important is whats going on now. . . .so far Texas hasn't stepped up to Oklahoma.

Exactly. and no one renamed it OU/TX because it doesn't have an official name except for Red River Rivalry, so we can call it whatever the hell we want.

You would think that it is a given, but it is hard to tell if Texas ever has that goal in mind.

You're right over the last 100 years, Texas has owned OU, but we like to live in the present because games that occured in 1928 aren't really relevant now. Different coaches, different players and different programs. It would take 60+ wins for Oklahoma State to tie the Bedlam series with OU, but that doesn't matter because they have beaten us twice in a row. So please join us in the 21st century and realize that right now, OU OWNS texas and in case you haven't heard...we are ranked # 1 in the nation in both polls.

Well, If my memory is correct we went into their stadium and beat them last year. I expect them to come in here and try to stomp our @ home winning streak. They are solid. Defense, offense, and special teams are dialed in, and it will be a challenge.

This Tx team should be able to beat KState, but rest assured KState has circled this date on their schedule as a game they really want.
