Tev-Tropin gave me Vision, Nerve and Brain Damage

TexasBB

New member
First I want to thank the good brothers on this board that have been supporting me. Big Thanks! Your support really makes a diffence.

My neurologist just diagnosed me with brain damage from my 8 week course of Tev-Tropin. So add that to my vision and nerve damage. He's got me on some very dangerous neuro medication in hopes of reducing the overall damage. So far nothing has helped.

I'm not sure why I reacted to Tev-Tropin this way but I would warn anyone of the dangers of this particular medication. I can't imagine prescribing this to children. I didn't have this problem with generics. I understand this is because generics are under-dosed.

Needless to say my life has been turned upside down. To say it's a nightmare is an understatement.

I will update when I hopefully have some good news. PM me if you want any details, I will happily oblige.

Man, I sorry to hear this... I know nothing about this product, but needless to say, I will NEVER touch it! I will keep your health in my prayers

I feel completely different. I don't know who I am anymore. I certainly am not the same guy I was before this happened. I don't think I'll ever be the same. At this point I just want my vision back and some of my life back. I want to be able to go outside and do normal everyday things we all take for granted. My neuro thinks my brain got over-excited (his way of saying damaged) and I also came down with intracranial hypertension. He's giving me powerful anti-seizure meds to try to calm it down and powerful diuretics to alleviate the tension. I have a whole mess of visual and neurological symptoms. Also I think it caused nerve damage in both my arms. I see an orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to assess the damage. I appreciate all your prayers!

How long did you use it at what dose?

I had just finished my 8th week and was doing 2iu/day with a couple days break at around 5 days. Seems reasonable? It doesn't make any sense. The product literature mentions something about most symptoms will show up in first 8 weeks. I didn't know that. I guess in hind sight I might have noticed increased pressure in my head but I didn't really get any bad headaches. The doctor that prescribed it told me it wasn't the growth. He's just covering his hide.

That's weird man. That is a low dose and a short time for HGH. I wish you the best, and most probably you will recover. Just give your body the time it needs. Be healthy, stay relaxed, everything will be just fine. Be careful with doctors. Even those who are trying to fix you now, they are dangerous; all of them. They will put on you more poison that at the end could be worst than the cure. Do your own research.

Never use medications designed specifically for children when you are an adult. Especially those that have to do with the development of the body.

Most GH is not bio-identical (because the FDA can patent it and make money, the greedy bastards) and comes with different side effects.

Had you used a growth hormone designed for anti-aging purposes, you most likely would have experienced none of your side effects.

I'm sorry you have these problems bro. That is really crappy.

Interesting statement. So what is the difference in the GH that we use and the GH developed for growth of bones? I didn't think there was a difference.

Wow I didn't realize it was 192aa! That sucks have you thought about hiring an attorney? I sure as hell would!

For what?

"Hey judge, I used controlled drugs illegaly and want to sue the manufacturer or my drug source for damages."

Unfortunately, there's nothing this bro can do.

Unless he was prescribd this, then yes he can whoop some serious ass in court on his prescribing physician for malpractice.

Yes it was a script from an TRT facility, this is his 5th thread on this problem he has. LOL and Stop being a smart ass.

Yeah he got it rx'd from a doctor.

Something that Nelson has stated before comes to mind, but mostly is common sense. HGH and all these peptides, are affecting our bodies genetically. You better know 100% before hand what a fuck your putting in your body. We don't even know all the long term side effects of HGH. And as I always say, NEVER put your body in a doctor's hand. NEVER. Doctors and the medical system is evil.

Bro, doctors know way more than you actually think.

The health care system, especially the FDA has major flaws, but doctors are extensively well educated in the medical field. I'd trust a doctor over whatever bro on a fitness site.

However, RX'ing tev-tropin was foolish.

I was RX'd 2 iu/day of Somatropin. Within 4 days I had a type II diabetic reaction. Fortunately, after a couple of weeks the Dr. realized what was going on, and stopping it stopped the reaction.

I was lucky.

This stuff was prescribed by a doctor out of Miami. They prescribed it even though my IGF was actually elevated naturally. Actually, they prescribed the 3 month dose without having a recent blood work done (it was over 1 year old). I didn't talk to the doctor until after the illness, in fact I never met him. Should I look for an attorney? I thought using pharmaceutical would be safer than street. I figured somatropin was somatropin.

Does anyone know an attorney that would take this?

BTW, I saw another EF member recently starting Tev-Tropin. He posted pics and everything.

What symptoms did you have?

I didn't really show any signs. I had occasional weird vision episode but it would clear up - maybe that was blood sugar related. I felt like superman up until the night I got sick. That night my vision did go haywire after my injection. I think vision problem that night might have been from intracranial hypertension. I don't know what caused the rest of my symptoms. I think my doc has got my CSF pressure down to safe level but no change in symptoms. I had to back out of a couple meds he prescribed because of side effects. I just hope he can find something to fix my brain - I have a lot of visual snow and tinnitus. The rest of my symptoms are so bizarre no one would believe me.

On the HRT website they state:

HGH Therapy
Note: HGH cannot be prescribed unless there is a deficiency. This is diagnosed through blood work, physical exam, and symptoms.

They prescribed to me even though my IGF was elevated.

get an attorney look in your area for malpractice dr attorneys. If they like your case they won't charge you, but they will take 40%...

It was prescribed by an anti-aging clinic.

There will definitely be some type of legal action. In the meantime, I absolutely understand how you feel. However, make an effort, and try to isolate what you "feel" from what it is. There is a situation, there is a condition. Is it possible to make the best out of this situation? Yes. Work on it step by step. The biggest motivation point, convince yourself that this WILL go away. Your body will recover; it will take longer than it took to get damaged, but you'll definitely make it.

I don't put my body on a doctor's hands. Repairing something through a surgery is one thing. They were trained for that and they are masters in the structural engineering of the body. However, medicine as a whole, does not know how to prevent; they only know how to fix. They are trained to not think on how to prevent, because in theory if you prevent the majority, medicine lose money. If you keep everybody sick, fixed with one pill a day, moves a multi trillion dollar machine every year. And to make it worst, most of those fixing drugs and chemicals, are harmful for the body. So no way. I stay healthy and away from doctors as much as possible.

Doctors not even believe in vitamins and minerals.

Trust me, despite what a doctor may tell you, they believe in taking vitamins and minerals.

Suggesting taking anything other than FDA approved medications will cause them to lose their medical license. Sadly enough, that is the extreme corruption of the FDA with a gun to their head.

My doctor started out in sports medicine before becoming a primary physician. He stresses healthy diet and excercise to all of his patients.

He legally cannot tell you to use vitamin supplementation, but that does not mean they don't believe in it. They don't have a choice.

Fuck the FDA.

First of all my prayers go out to you bro, i wish you a full recovery!

Second, when you say nerve damage, what exactly happened? Ive been on somatropin for the past 2 months and have recently been getting tingling and numbness in my right arm. Does this sound familiar?

Again, goodluck with your recovery!

wow i thought hgh was fairly safe. I didn't know there was different ones, and I would have thought the TRT professionals would be up to par with prescribing the safer one. So I guess avoid Tev-tropin. Somatropin is the fairly safe one? What was the thing about bblazer's diabetic reaction on somatropin, is that a common symptom to watch out for while on HGH?

I don't believe this. Maybe his tev-tropin was contaminated but as you can see from the manufacturers data sheet, "tev-tropin" is a 191aa sequence and a plain old somatropin, just like all the rest.

TEV-TROPIN®
[somatropin (rDNA origin) for injection]
5 mg (15 IU)
DESCRIPTION
TEV-TROPIN® (somatropin, rDNA origin, for injection), a polypeptide of
recombinant DNA origin, has 191 amino acid residues and a molecular weight
of about 22,124 daltons. It has an amino acid sequence identical to that of
human growth hormone of pituitary origin. TEV-TROPIN® is synthesized in a
strain of Escherichia coli modified by insertion of the human growth hormone
gene.
TEV-TROPIN® is a sterile, white, lyophilized powder, intended for subcutaneous
administration, after reconstitution with bacteriostatic 0.9% sodium chloride
injection, USP, (normal saline) (benzyl alcohol preserved). The quantitative
composition of the lyophilized drug per vial is:
5 mg (15 IU) vial:
Somatropin 5 mg (15 IU)

I am guessing you are right. Tev-Trpoin itself was not responsible for the damage. The guy must been one of the 1 out of a million that has a bad reaction as what happens with aspirin TOO.
I been on Omnitrope which was amazing in all aspects. I decided to try Tev-Tropin this week. But I remembered this thread and that scared me reading he blamed Tev-Tropin. So I did some major investigating. That website that someone posted a link to "somatropin.net" that says Tev-tropin is 192 Amino Acid is 100% false. Funny how it seems to push China HGH brands. So what I did was I called Teva Pharma Drug Information Coordinator.
Medical Affairs at Teva Pharmaceuticals USA and they sent me the drug packaging insert 14 pages long and it IS TRUE 191 AA ,made with the same technology that the major USA paharmas use like Genentech and SANDOZ aND Lily. Secretion from E- coli that is Bio-identical.
I feel sorry for what that guy had to deal with. But blaming it on Tev-tropin being a faulty Somatropin HGH and some of the replies that followed were sheer ingorance. Sorry to bump an old post. Byt it is misleading alot of people including me because it comes up on the first page of a google search for Tev Tropin. So the correction should be made.

^^ this!
true!
and even if he does get an attorney ... What do you think he can achieve? If you buy a jar of peanut butter at the store and get an allergic reaction from it, will you go sue the store that sells it? Or maybe the company that makes the peanut butter? Pretty sure not, unless you were in some way given false or misleading information

Well seing as its been three years, fuck I can't believe I am still here, I wonder what has happened to TexasBB?

I'm taking tev tropin. 2 IUs/day Monday-Thursday and ghr-2 fri-sun for 2 weeks now. Have not noticed anything positive or negative yet! When should I start cing some results? Also taking test cyp 1cc/ week...
