Tendonitis

wayneboard1 offered some great advice.

I had the same thing and traced it back to wide grip chins with db around waist. I simply put a new huge workload on my grip system.

I started using straps more. That's helped a lot.

Got my first one from wide arm pullups...Never again, bottom heals the top goes bad...Shit plane suxs! Seems to take months to heal.....Price you pay for lifting like a animal.....

I mean it's bad. I can't fully grip anything or if i do i have to release really slow or just a shot of pain and burn sensation will shoot through my forearm. I've dropped weight yesterday i did straight bar curl with just the bar and i could only do like three and my forearm was hurting so bad.

Usually 7 to 10 reps

this almost sounds like pressure on a nerve. Does it feel like an electric shock, kinda like when hit your funny bone? Pain shooting through your arm sounds like this. I had some damage in my forearm that was putting pressure on my radial nerve and I had to completely stop lifting for almost a month to let it heal, i couldnt even grip a bar really. An orthopedic doc diagnosed this.

ive been going through the same problem with my forearms. I have to release the weight very slowly when im done with my curls or else pain just shoots through my forearms. I also have tendonitis in my left wrist, i started using wrists straps and thats helped out alot. I still havent found anything for my forearms. I notice it hurts worse when i do straight bar curls rather than EZ bar curls.

I understand what your going through with the tendonitis. there is no quick fix, only
time. Easily six months before the symptoms start to subside.
You can still workout though ( if you can handle the pain and discomfort )

The trick is an EZ bar, and plenty of warm up sets. good luck bro.

Hey bro, i posted something about a week ago about tendonitis in my elbows. I know that you have it in your arms but this is my experience so far. My Dr. has tried "3" different anit inflam's and nothing has worked.......he told me, as a lot of good bro's have on here that rest and backing off is the only thing that will help. I dont know where you are with the pain, i have shooting pain all day in my elbows and it sucks, so i feel the pain bro. I will tell all you guys I have tried every cream known to man from icy hot, to flexall.......I found a new one today that might be a keeper until I go to my Orthopedic next monday, its Capzasin HP. Its otc at Walgreens or Riteaid.....its $13.00 and let me tell you, one application and you wont feel anything....the active ingredient is Capsaicin, which i believe is cayenne pepper? anyway you can put in on 3-4 times a day and I only did it once, it lasted about 6 hours! Now you can feel it burning, but its a good burn.......** One bit of advice, throughly and I mean "throughly" wash your hands when your done putting it on, and do not touch it afterwards.....trust me you will pay the price! It fucking burns!
