Tell me what supplements I need, or should use. Lets try and keep it natural. :)

1) Add some motrin/Ibprofin to your daily vitamins. I'd say 400mg at wake and 400mg before bed. You may add 400mg to mid-day if that suits your scheduele.

Now I am going to do something rare on EF and tell you WHY for each.

1) Motrin isn't just good for dealing with pain, it works well as a preventative measure and reduces inflamation that occurs from exercising. You can ramp this up as you'd like though the medical limit is 2400 mg a day (I use to do 800mg every 8 hours - now just 400 every eight hours).

Synpax,
You're a guy who seems to know what he's taking about---but this much ibuprofen on a regular basis? Does't that go against a lot of other ideas about how ibuprofen affects muscle synthesis?

Not slamming here, bro, just looking for some clarification.

Ditto. I'd never take ibuprofen unless I really needed it. For someone to tell me to take it with my vitamins is just insane.

Please clarify how this will not fuck your liver in the long term?

Well, ibuprofen is actually metabolized in the kidneys; overdosing on an insane amount will put you in renal failure before hepatic failure.

What I was actually asking about is the references to how NSAIDs impair muscle synthesis/growth----I've only heard of the reports, so I'll admit, I don't know the science behind it.

That aside, there is new studies indicating that taking a daily anti-inflammatory may be hugely beneficial for your health; the pathophysiology of many diseases start with inflammation. Fairly new study, though, so I won't be popping an Advil-a-day until more come out.

Well I am not new to this board or to weight lifting. For starters, I will list some of my stats.
18 years old
5'11"
164ish lbs
I weight training least 3 days a week.
I am in AFROTC so i PT 3 days a week in the morning too.
I usually run 2-3 times more at night after i weight train.
I eat pretty well too.

My goals: I want to keep weight on and get up to about 170lbs. I dont want to weigh too much more than that, because it would hender my running. I want my running not to be diminished, because it is a key factor to my PFT(Physical Fitness Test). I also want my strength to be as strong as possible.

I am thinking the usual protien, creatine glutamine, multi vitamins. Can you give me specific brands and products. (By the way, what is this metabolic whey protien.) All opinions are appreciated.
Thanks all!!!!!

Hey, Just increase your calories from quality, calorie dense foods. First of all save the whey protein for after workout and after you wakeup from 8 hrs of sleep. Invest some cash in a milk & egg protein powder, much more complete. Before bed mix 30-35 grams worth of powder with 4-5 ounces of half & half, and 4-6 ounces of water, do this every night until you reach your goal.

Take 1 tb of extra virgin olive oil 2x-3x a day, some with a protein shake or a high protein meal would be great. Natural peanut butter and whole wheat bread(3-4 grams fiber per slice) will make a great in between meal snack.

Lift heavy but keep your rest in between sets down low like 20-45 seconds, and you will put on mass, without adding much BF.

good luck
