Taurine dose to combat back pump

I have 1000mg capsules of taurine.
Would 4 capsules pre workout be overkill?

Pain is weakness leaving the Body

It might be, I started out with 1,000 mg per day then upped it to 2,000 after about 4 weeks as 1,000 was working but only a little... I still get them now but very mild. Why not try 1,000/2,000mg per day to start with and increase it after a few weeks if it's not working for you?

Got a quick question regarding this..

My lower back has been nagging me slightly lately.

Hurts immediately after a session (Even if i keep straight back and use correct lifting techniques)

Makes it hard to bend, its like a sharp ache. It will then loosen up and disappear until I beast myself again the next day, might wake up and its a bit stiff. But normally goes immediately.

Is this a back pump? Or a potential pulled muscle?

In regards to topic, I know a few people using 2,000mg ED. They seem to be fine up to 4,000. Then problems occur. 2,000 you should have no problems.

Bro your problem doesn't sound like a back pump, more like you have tight erector spinae, (a problem I have a lot of experience with) what I mean is a short resting length in the muscles of your lower back, this can happen as a result of a number of things; heavy lifting, too much sitting, poor strength in your transverse abdominals, not enough stretching and mobility training for the lower back. The result is almost always a stiff lower back with some pain before warming up, first thing in the AM and after training, you may also botice its less flexible during the day, it can get worse if left untreated and become unbearable. Resetting the resting length of the muscle through stretching and postural exercises can alleviate it. Pilates and Alexander technique helped me massively. Of course I can't be 100% sure this is your oribkem just from what you've said, best best would be to go see a physiotherapist.

Well, some bits make sense others not so much.

Massive thanks for the reply btw.

I did gymnastics for 12 years intensely, So i know my core and Ab muscle are set like stone, or well enough. Which rules that out. I'm also still pretty flexible, Can bridge right over and still can sit in splits. So it's not flexibility.

However, I'm a web developer, which requires me to sit on my ass 8 hours a day. And it does seem somewhat irritable when sat in certain positions. It's getting a lot better since i stopped Hack squats and Free squats with the bar... That seemed to aggravate it. So i'm about 8% back to strength. Ideas?

ahh again.. what are you on now that is causing back pumps?

ive gone as high as 10g of taurine a day.. its worth it to not cramp up when running or doing deads.. or sometimes.. even typing has given me bad pumps :)

I've known others with the same prob, one a ballet dancer very flexible and the other a top kickboxer also very flexible with rock solid abs. It's more to do with the resting length of the muscle rather than overall flexibility. Mind you sitting in front of a computer screen for hours per day won't help!

What can I do to improve this? Really appreciating the input. And sorry for jacking thread. Been doing it way to much recently.

Certain Excersise?
