Does anyone have advice or experience with being on a cycle and having surgery like knee surgery?
I told doc and the nurse that I was on test and supplements.. but not deca, hgh, anavar, and winny.
I am thinking I will just stop orals and hgh for that week of the surgery then resume the next week after.
thanks

Dam good question would like to know the answer myself.

You should tell your doctor everything that you are on if they are going to put you under anesthesia. Steroids and anesthesia DO NOT mix. Specifically, you can go under and never wake up.

I am not sure about HGH and its effects on anesthesia.

Yep, the way different drugs interact isn't something you want to chance, or fuck around with. That's from someone who's lived in and around the medical field all my life. Just tell them what you're doin, or postpone the surgery till you're clear and clean. Just my 2.

Just to add to this (which I agree with 100%) I went in for hernia surgery a year ago and I am in a position that I could not tell my doc of my gear use.

I did some research, talked to an anesthesiologist offline, and was told to quit the gear usage for two months prior to surgery (I was on EQ which is a long ester). I had to stop midcycle and then scheduled my surgery two months in advance. All went well.

This is the only credited response.

The biggest problem with gear and surgery is what the anesthesia does to your organs . The organ I'm talking about is the liver. Many of the anesthetic's are so powerful that if your liver enzymes aren't in this very narrow range you will "not" be waking up .Besides your protected by the Doctor patient laws if your worried about LE! As for using gear after s knee op ,you may want to layoff the gear till after your well into you post op PT .Without knowing what type of knee op your having I'd be worried about tendon muscle interactions and stress cause as you know post op your muscle and tendons will be weaker and less able to handle gear usages . As for the HGH it's a good idea to use it maybe 2 weeks post op to help you heal faster and get through PT faster. I've been using Hexalin to get my GH up to help with my post recovery . Hey need any help PM me I'm going through the same issues if not worse 2 ACL& rear lat tendon reconstruction.........FMT

I had a toe operation a few years ago in the middle of a test cycle. The Doc asked if I was on any medicine and I told him no as I wasn't in the mood for the high moral ground or having the surgery cancelled. (I was offered someone elses cancellation myself and had a chance to go into surgery the following day)

Anyhow, when I came around, the surgeon was beside himself with rage. He told me I bled like a MoFo throughout the operation and it took them a considerable length of time to bring it under control. It was quite obvious that he knew I was on something and never told him.

and we can all learn from this...thank god you made it out alright bro.

Yeah, if I remember right, many anabolics -- especially methandrostenelone -- have a pretty big impact on RBC count. And if you're being opened up for surgery, this is a major concern.

After I broke my leg I went under for ankle surgery and told the anesthesiologist that I was on gear (specifically EQ and Test E). The anesthesiologist said "Okay that's good to know but it's not a major concern. We're more worried about stimulant use." All went well with surgery and I'm recovering fine. But still, I think it's good to tell someone that's putting you under EXACTLY what your on.
