I take, glucosamine, vit c, b vits, muli, and cal mag.
I'm wondering like most people, do we need to take these on a daily basis, or can a few veggies and decent diet take care of it all?
Please comment!

Best to get both. Veggies have lots of phytochemicals beneficial to the body that are not found in any vitamin supplement. Getting enough nutrients through food is tough most of the time which is why it's a good idea to add some additional vitamins. I've been taking A,E,C,D, Calc.Mag.Zinc, and a B-150 everyday for years now.

That is what vitamins are for, supplementing the lack of nutrients available in today's food supply. A hard training bodybuilder, suffering catabolism on an almost daily basis, can sure use all the nutrient support he/she can get.

Why is this tough? How do you know that a good supplement free diet lacks nutrients?

What lifter said above sums it up basically. Better to get more than enough nutrients in your diet than not enough. A typical bodybuilders diet is almost devoid of fruits and a substantial amount of vegetables. Just to be safe I always suggest supplementing with vitamins.

The problem with food is that people overcook it and then they smear ketchup, mustard, salt, pepper, mayo all over it and now it is more harmful then good.

The overcooking is a big issue with vegetables since letting them float in water then boiling them takes the point out of eating them entirely
