So as a student I am very poor but forked out for some optimum nutrition serious mass (big bag) so here is my typical diet plan on a budget, let me know if you think it's any good. I might add I am not too bothered about fat content as I have fallen down to 147lbs at six foot tall since starting uni, very skinny. Also I don't eat fish. Any advice appreciated, thank you.

Breakfast: porridge or 3 egg omelette (time dependent)

Mid morning: serious mass (half serving as the scoop is huge)

Lunch: 2 chicken breasts and rice or in wraps

Dinner: some kind of meat and carbs combo let's say chicken pasta bake

Post workout: second shake

Before bed: pasta and cottage cheese

Honestly bro you will probably spend less on real food then supplements.

I would get egg whites, eggs, plain Greek yougurt and any form of meat you can for protein, also spirulina and black beans are good alternate protein sources

For carbs go simple, stick to fruits, rice, potatoes (preferably sweet potatoes) and oats

For fats peanut butter or just raw nuts, You can get very large bags of walnuts, almonds or peanuts from the store for a pretty cheap price that will last a good few months

Bags of basmati rice, oats, tuna you need carbs my man.. ON serious mass is full of simple carbs so is ok after training but not really suitable the rest of the time

Sent from my HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio X315e using EliteFitness

if you cant eat every 2 hrs then just make 4 big meals through out the day
I would preffer you a heavy breakfast .. 30 % of my calories are covered through breakfast , i take banana shake , egg and boiled potatoes .. you can have it in morning before leaving the home which i conceder is the best..
then in lunch you are good with protein and carbs you are getting both of them try to add more things like yougurt , apple or you can carry dry fruit .. that would be great you can eat while study too and it ll cover you calories... You diet need quantity try to get atleast 4000 calories per day
