Steroids, Infertility and sperm banking

I am a younger bodybuilder with high hopes of becoming competitive (doing a show this year) and hopefully moving up the ranks. ANYWAY.. that was simply said to imply that this is not an overreaction and that I have obvious intentions of safely using AAS for many years... ONE of the many POSSIBLE side effects of prolonged AAS use is decrease in sperm production and possible infertility. I dont see this topic discussed very often so the side effect may be overblown.

BUT why take the risk of becoming infertile?

well... What do you guys think about keeping some sperm in a sperm bank so that IF i were to become infertile there is at least a plan B..

any thoughts.

That not a bad idea. I have been off an on for years .My wife wanted kids an when I got the test . It came back zero motility. Tried the usual methods to get back online ,an still nothing . I know I had been fertile at some point becaues I had gotten someone pregnant. At age 40 that is my one regret about my usage .

If you don't mind me asking, what usual methods have you tried and did not work?

Also, how long how you gone without using any HCG?
Just curious, thanks!

I had always assumed that the long term user would benefit from low dose HMG and HCG treatment to mimick LH and FSH in the body and thereby assist keeping sperm production motility going. I mean theres always the high dose HMG/HCG cycle protocols for trying to "fix" the problem that has been in the making for years of AAS usage but i believe in prevention

well i've been on and off for quite a few years now and have 8-10 cycles under my belt...and 2 cycles a go, my g/f got pregnant and we're expecting our first baby girl in 8 weeks...but i am a firm believer in HCG on cycle and PCT as well as time off = time on + PCT time...i like to allow the nattys to get back to work before cutting them down a bit for a few months lol

i am a big proponent of banking--at 41 i can get the numbers (was actually a donor in college), but the motility is not good (so I know there has been a profound change in 20 years). there is a million reasons why (not even a strong gear connection but who knows)--but it would have saved me >$30,000 right now doing IVF.

what is the downside? none i see but some cash out now and usually a yearly fee bfd.

Just use hcg, clomid, zinc, vitamin c and switch to boxers. thats what I did after months of trying when on heavy and it worked first month.
