Escort service on line not a good idea. It's too easy to track you down. Your "employees" are not the most dependable and they all have major problems. Getting the word out for a new venture without having legal authorities also a problem. Getting the $$$ from the girls if they get paid. Girls setting up tricks on there own.

Adult DVD/SEX Shop. high markup on products, many manufactures will drop ship for you, cheap to start. A couple $$$$ to get website designed, merchant accounts and marketing. But marketing is the big problem. I do know some good ways to drive traffic and get some sales. I do have a little experience in this. Hit me with any ???
Membership site XXX too competative. With porn stars and playboy models with their own site it's hard to compete in this niche. Other sites like MILF hunter, they have a novel idea but how many milf hunters do we need? So unless you have a really good idea it would be tough.
But on the other hand, the non-nude teen model thing might be pretty good. With the right approach. I know that there are already sites like this out but there are some interesting angles that could be exploited.
Cost on this is about the same as memberXXX site. Drawback with any online business is marketing.
Not, trying to take over your project but if you do decide to go forward I know some russian programmers (MS and Phds) who work really cheap, and they could do every thing you need.

instead of running an escort service why not set up a directory of escorts around the world. Check out www.bigdoggie.net. This guy was out of tampa and was reportedly making close to $100,000 a month some estimates were way way higher . Until he got busted in sting (occupational hazard). Google this and you should find out a lot about it.

A friend of a friend knows the guy who runs www.cityvibe.com, who apparenty makes big money.
We tried to start a similar thing here a couple of years ago but had heaps of problems trying to sort out how to market it, newspapers here wont run web sites in the personal section so we where limited to what we could do.

So me and my friends were gonna start an adult website.... we know hella chics that would have been down.
I had contractors bidding on building out rooms for studio use in my basement and everything. We were all big into the local party seen so the chics were endless... we just had to keep them supplied.
We backed out on everything for a few reasons:
1. Issues with filming pornography where I lived. Regardless of the outcome of any potential legal battles - it may have resulted in a long expesive fight that could have drug our business under.
2. Credibility, Reputation. If the business had failed - and even if it had not - our names could have gotten drug through the mud in a bad way.
Although I like porn... the business is seedy and some peeps just don't like it... and would in turn have personal issues with us.
