So I'm building myself a new MTB

bought a new frame: round 3Lbs
bought a new rockshox thingie: round 5 Lbs

plan is to transfer my old components to the new bike.

thing is, I think I fell into a trap here, I spend money money money and at the end I have the same bike, maybe 5-6 lbs lighter (my old frame was as heavy as a small car).

total investment is about 300€ (that is about 400 something US)

maybe better to buy a new complete bike? but where is the manly feeling of building your own?

Nothing manly about socks and sandals bor. But I know what you mean there is something to be said about building your own shit. For those rare occasions someone asks you about it you can say "Yeah I built it myself"

400us is pretty cheap to put a bike together bro... One of my kids bike cost $1800.00
