I can't argue that.

On most average days my 40 was about 4.66 there were days I could get it down to about 4.62 but that was after months of plyometrics & training with the speed coach in the off season. Since I was a power back running mostly up the middle for 5 yard gains much of the time, they didn't really care about the speed measurements.


What about guys in the NFL who say they can run the 40 in 4.3 give or take? Are they lying?

& all the highschool kids I see who say they can run a 4.28 or whatever they are probably lying?

i think vicks 40 was right around 4.3 and he was about the fastest there is out there.

Ben Johnson with a 3.69? Holy shit. I saw him at one of our local night clubs a few years ago. The juice he was using was Winstrol apparently.

But No.4 sounds just lame in the hall way.

Somebody will give him a chance based on what he did in college. He was never a speedy back. Plus people have said he put on a lot more bulk, in fact so much that it has probably slowed him down. I think he appears to be quite a little fuckface, but I still say somebody gives him a shot.

But longtime combine veterans Bill Parcells and Gil Brandt said he was officially clocked at 4.25 -- faster than Deion Sanders. I don't believe any human has run under 4.0.

Yep. There's 40 yd dash speed and then there's football speed. Marcus Allen only ran a 4.7 in the 40 yard dash. So what made him such an effective running back? More to it than just pure speed.

There are corners (most) in the league who can't touch a 4.3.

I was hand timed at 4.46. Averaged 4.6's. On steroids, I would have been faster .. I'd have been on them at the time if I'd had access to them.
