People always look to what they "missed out on" when they are dissatisfied with their life.
Sadly, most people don’t seem to realize that everyone is dissatisfied with their life sometimes. That kind of dissatisfaction is fleeting. You can fix it if you try.
Regardless, people tend to do stupid things to regain whatever it is that they think they missed out on.
And this doesn’t work.
It seems that your wife thinks that she missed out on being a ditzy 22-year-old.
No matter how hard she tries, no matter how many geigh tattoos she gets, no matter how often she gets too drunk and dances badly at overcrowded college clubs, no matter how many random dudes she hooks up with - she will never be 22 again.
By doing what she is doing, she is not going to make up for what she "missed out on."
She is just ruining the life she has now.
She could have been responsible and tried to improve her situation, keep her family together and fucking deal with being a grown up.
She will realize that eventually.
But by then it will probably be too late.
I'm sorry you're going through this.
