Snap decisions...

Over 75% of communication is based on non-verbal communication. People have an innate ability to feel and sense things via their normal senses, just like animals do. It is instinct.

This is what I'm gettting at, there are many subconscious cues that we don't take into account on why we dig peeps, but I don't think the percentage is that high... like when u make her laugh, or U are able to use subtle charismatic emotional transference, a subtle mechanism we don't understand yet, this is not based on looks, but rather an 'energy' or awareness that we haven't nailed down yet... this is what I want to learn more about, I have a little degree, as we all do, like when its a topic that perks your interest, u notice u feel a subtle eagerness to disclose your take, well this transfers... the eagerness to other individuals, this is what sparks me...

Upbeat as always... Do I sound burnt and bitter?
I've only been fucked over once... I think its our patterns that attract people to us, and that if a certain pattern of relationships happens more than once, then one should check themselves...
I'm 30 not jaded about peeps, but not totally ignorant, and yeah cautious...
so I'm okay with my 'programming'
I think you are a special little creature Java... seriously...

I volunteered for a special gauntlet and it shaped my view of the world, an eighteen year old shouldn't have to be exposed to certain things...
Most will never "get it"

wow, I was in navy, but never exposed to killing or anything like that,
so yeah, I understand where u are coming from...
that said... 'most people, as in all, should never be exposed to that'
war may build loyalty, and some things like that like a respect for human life,
but for every mccain there are thousands if not millions of schizophrenics, ptsd, and generally fucked up good peeps, never made it out...
ptsd is no joke, and as far as war goes I only pray I never 'get it'

Any time I've had an instant gut feeling that someone would play a large role in my life, I've never been wrong.

Any time i've been sure someone was lying to me, or holding something back, I've never been wrong.
U know exactly what I'm talking bout, and this is what I dig about u...
How did dinner party go...
I can already tell U, your diver dude is what we refer to as a 'salesman' or emotional transferer type where through his charismatic ways is able to transfer his eagerness through subtle mechanisms that win peeps over, anyway this is what I think through your descriptions of him...
a great quality to have...

The interesting thing about that movie is that Martin Sheen suffered severe depression from making that movie and ptsd... it fucked him up bad...
Even making a movie about war is no joke as the same thing happened to his son in Platoon...

The percentage is that high. I've read some studies where it is as high as 90% Check out the marketing research on nonverbal communication. The business world has been investigating this for years and it has been proven with strong, statistically significant, empirical results.

When I was doing legal work and interviewing clients I would always just sit there and watch them as they spoke. I can spot a liar and read a person like a book. The same goes for business consulting. You can tell when people are sincere or blowing air up you ass.

Another source:

"Sometimes non-verbal messages contradict the verbal; often they express true feelings more accurately than the spoken or written language," Herta A. Murphy and Herbert W. Hildebrandt noted in their book Effective Business Communications.

Funny thing, this song finally gave me some solace and perspective...and it's pop bullshit....I hope I can find a valid embedded video...

Read "The Field" by Lynn McTaggart. It will provide you with tons of interesting threads to weave into your paper because you start wondering if you're actually anticipating what will happen or are your conscious thoughts changing the course of the current state of affairs. Spooky action at a distance, etc., fun stuff.

Our high priestess likes to point out that linear time is merely a mortal concept. All that is/was/will be is happening right now. We are merely beings of energy moving through a vast sea of energy and if you can just open yourself up to the information that's freely available you can see all possibilities. The problem is we get in our own ways and overthink shit.

Instinct/intuition is a native skill, like reading body language. What happens is that people have an unconscious disconnect from those inner voices in favor of "civilized" behavior, doing what is socially correct or economically beneficial.
