Snap decisions...

U know exactly what I'm talking bout, and this is what I dig about u...
How did dinner party go...
I can already tell U, your diver dude is what we refer to as a 'salesman' or emotional transferer type where through his charismatic ways is able to transfer his eagerness through subtle mechanisms that win peeps over, anyway this is what I think through your descriptions of him...
a great quality to have...

Dinner party is tomorrow.

You're right about S. He is absolutely infectious. I fully expect half my friends to take up diving after tomorrow, that's the effect he has on people. He speaks with his eyes, too. he's one of the ones I instantly knew would be a major player in my life. There was one moment...the first moment we ever had any sort of one on one communication. At the end of my advanced class, he shook my hand and smiled at me, and in that split moment of eye contact something in my brain shifted.

I've never actively pursued a guy before in my life...but i pretty much went balls to the wall with him. I took a lot of risks in doing so because I want to eventually work for this shop and it could have blown up in my face. but I trusted my gut and I was right, all based on that one moment.

If you have access to JSTOR or other academic research engines on campus hit up the business section. Bonoma and Felder, Nonverbal Communication in Marketing: Toward a Communicational Analysis, Journal of Marketing Research, Vol. 14, No. 2 (May, 1977), pp. 169-180 is a great place to start. If you run "nonverbal communication" as a key word through JSTOR you will hit a ton of material.

My primary field of research right now is the association of stock volume and volatility integrated with behavioral finance theory. The behavioral aspects are all founded on psychology. Most people think that finance and business are all about numbers which is not the case. A ton of studies, especially in marketing, involve human behavior and it is very interesting to read. Finance is just opening its doors to the psychological component. IMO it is the most important area to investigate.

Awesome, yeah, I have access to JSTOR and will check out that article, behavioral finance theory... fascinating... Yeah, I'm taking a class on integral economics and how world economies will be shaped in future according to integral theory... there may be some ties for a future paper...
BTW, betting the house on Marquez...

I just finished reading The Worldly Philosophers. It is a very entertaining book and goes over he history of economics. It is designed for the average person yet gives you an excellent overview of everyone involved in economics from Smith, to Marx etc.

Amazon.com: The Worldly Philosophers: The Lives, Times And Ideas Of The Great Economic Thinkers [7th Edition]: Robert L. Heilbroner: Books

I am undecided for the boxing match. It will be a good match!

Read "The Field" by Lynn McTaggart. It will provide you with tons of interesting threads to weave into your paper because you start wondering if you're actually anticipating what will happen or are your conscious thoughts changing the course of the current state of affairs. Spooky action at a distance, etc., fun stuff.

Our high priestess likes to point out that linear time is merely a mortal concept. All that is/was/will be is happening right now. We are merely beings of energy moving through a vast sea of energy and if you can just open yourself up to the information that's freely available you can see all possibilities. The problem is we get in our own ways and overthink shit.

Instinct/intuition is a native skill, like reading body language. What happens is that people have an unconscious disconnect from those inner voices in favor of "civilized" behavior, doing what is socially correct or economically beneficial.
Great fucking post, and yeah your priestess hits everything right on the head, even quantum physics points out that how you observe something dictates what actually occurs...
I will check out that Field, I love anything called the 'Field" but U know we are both on same page with nature of reality...
Thanx for posting input MM...

Read "Blink" by Malcolm Gladwell - same premise.
This is where I got the idea to use the article in class, I'm using the same researchers that he used and they are accessible articles... dude is a genius and tipping point fucking rocked, as well as providing me with a ton of research articles to use for class...
thanx.

haha every time i see this thread i think about "snap-calling" in poker.
Dude when is he gonna lift the bombage, no big deal, but its annoying to have to highlight your shit everytime, and yes we are all that lazy...

I assassinated Arabian's reputation on here pretty hardcore, so i doubt the bombing will stop anytime soon. i'll be more proactive with the text coloring
and lol wtf slow down. if you play poker a lot there's no way around thinking rounders is one of the best movies ever. That's Christian Bale's character from American Psycho in my avatar. As you have figured out by now, it is blood on his face. I don't knw any transportation technology jokes, and i hope i never do.
