Sweetie, let old Musclemom give you a little motherly advice, the most intelligent person is the one who doesn't go around telling everyone else in the room how much smarter he is than everyone else. Nor will he be the one using fifty cent words in an affected manner when a twenty-five cent word used properly would sound better.

Half of the equation of intelligence is knowing the difference between when you should speak and when you shouldn't.

Making a purely sweeping statement on the subject, scientists, neurologists, psychologists, sociologists, and behavioralists can't agree on how to measure intelligence. There are many different types of intelligence and there is just no simple way to benchmark or categorize it. That's why no one really knows which is smarter, dogs or cats, seriously. We can't figure out how to correctly measure human intelligence, how can we measure animal intelligence?

I've known very intelligent people who couldn't string half a dozen words together intelligibly in writing. I've also known total idiots who wrote beautifully. I've known brilliant artists who were mathematical retards and science and math geniuses who were incapable of balancing their checkbook.

The real question is, when you say smart, what kind of intelligence, exactly, are you wondering about?

people who are cooperative are THE smartest people all the way

around.

the ability to meet your own needs and help others meet theirs will

get you places.

the irony of this thread is to elicit responses like the one you posted above
:)

now surely you're smart enough to get that

I just gotta make split second calculations for cardiac drugs and joules. But gosh, we don't even use a computer. It's more of a trade. Hell, most people don't even know the difference between an EMT and Paramedic. Besides EF, I only used a computer for those 6 years of college.
I wash myself with a rag on a stick.

Unless you're calculating a pedi dose, what is there to calculate about 1 mg epi, 1 mg atropine? Even dopamine isn't hard to calculate, provided you carry it. My paramedics don't carry dopamine because it's only used about once every two years.

My post was by no means comprehensive
just some names that popped to my pea brain

I think she meant Human Target but thanks anyways lol.

von Neumann, probably one of the greatest mathematicians in the history of the world, had a photographic memory. He could recite books he read as a child, line by line, decades later. He won a Nobel Prize for game theory, helped design the atomic bomb, and did numerous other things.

The man couldn't remember short-term things though. He would go on trips and have to call his wife to find out why he was going there. He also was a horrible family man. He spent all of his time working and alienated the ones who truly cared for him.

Was he "intelligent?" Some would say yes. Others disagree.

charles darwin. he was an average student with no

special math abilities. single most important scientist

ever.

if descarte had not discovered calculus someone else

would have.

but if Shakespeare had not written merchant of venice

no one else would have.

of course intelligence is subjective and almost ethereal

that is half the point of this discussion.

challenging me on this subject is not intelligent

it's ironic lol

Have u read The Origin by Irving Stone? Great book about Darwin. I recommend it.

you mentioned that before.

i will check it out.

i've read dozens of books on darwin and i'm always up

for another.

btw you are smart pretty and very interesting

i trifecta of scariness

layingback does have a gift for reading a person like an open book.

alot of intelligent and gifted people on EF, many of which have helped me with many things in the year I've already been here.

I shit you not, I had samoth answering some math questions for me over aol during my first semester on my first online assignment, I aced it.. and all the ones after.. but he did help me with one, that was awesome. ;)

Stefka hasn't been mentioned yet that I've noticed.

She's very intelligent.

many others aswell, probably even people that no one would think to regard as intelligent just based on thier posts on EF, that's a sort of tricky thing about this.

Its a biographical novel about Darwin's life. It even goes into detail about his' childhood.
And about me-thanx. U already know what I think about you. :)

General knowledge, I wouldn't be in the top 30%.. I.Q... I'd be in the top 5% I'd wager... You can't outscore nearly 300 other students and not be ranked in the top...

We are all geniuses here, 12 inch cocks, make 100K+ per year, and wear expensive designer clothes, and can bench 325lbs without warming up...and that is just the females.

Doesn't matter how big your tool is, what your body looks like, what your face looks like, how old you are, or anything else... the 400k/year will bring you all the love and attention from the ladies.

Well, let's see, on the internets I look like a young Corey Everson, have the sex drive of Samantha Jones, am multiorgasmic, have natural breasts so fabulous several plastic surgeons have asked ME where I got my work done, and I make $500K.

Oh, and while my husband only has a 12" long cock, it's over 6" in girth AND he can lick his own eyebrows

I think most people bring some form of higher intelligence to the fray here.

For instance, I would say that Nathan's brain pan is killer in astrophysics, AAP's & Velvete's people intelligence is off the charts IMO , Chesty is a brilliant engineer, etc.

I'm a member of Mensa only because it's something a friend bet me a $1K I couldn't or wouldn't do. This was 14 years ago and I bought some really high grade herb with that money. Stilleto would approve.
:)

You have to give needto props folks the man has been through shit and back and I doubt have of us would be in as good a frame as he maintains.

Don't judge by what you read. Judge more so by what you connect.

Leibniz is generally considered the founder of calculus though Newton indepedently dervived it within years of Leibniz. It is often a topic of debate in the history of mathematics. The interesting thing is that Newton technically was done first but chose to refrain from publishing and hence the credit goes to Leibniz and his notation. (sorry had to show of math smarts :)).

KB (RIP)
nimbus
layinback
MM
GD
myself
subz (for his age)
Nef
blueta
jnevs
jackangel
velv

I think there's a few peeps on here who are very book smart but not street smart enough.

I rate emotional intelligence quite highly, which could be the antithesis of street smart in some cases.

I'm going with tatayana, nimbus, cal_21, samoth, omega, heatherrae, cooper, bluebird, atw, bikinimom, musclemom, curveymom, oh hell add your name to my list if you're sombody's mom

I like this list. I need to read more of Jerseyrugger's & EddyMerkkk posts. Then again I have only been here a little while.

I LOVE Tats posts in the AAS forum. I can honestly say she is one of the few people who I have never disagreed with regarding nutrition/AAS/BB.

I remember a guy who was taking it for the 5th time when I took it and he got an 18. His recruiter was reaming his ass at MEPS lol I felt sorry for the poor guy. Heck, if he took it fives times and wanted to join the military that bad just let him in and make him point in an infantry squad lol

All depends on if they have been watching or not. If you know what you are doing. You can make people look the other way when you want them to. :)

oh shit, i'm definitely at the bottom of your list :worried:

i'm seriously deficit in this area

you have a universal intelligence that's not typically

associated with fitness models - bb'ers lol

between you, omega and guardian i've got a lot of

schooling in bodybuilding.

tatyana, as a side note, there can be quite a disparity

between someone's written expression skills and their

verbal skills.

i've spoken at length with friendlycanadian and omega

on the phone. omega is a genius. his post can appear

disjointed and sloppy but spend 15 minutes on the horn

with him......wow. friendlycanadians post are schizo

with lots of cursing lol. on the phone he is one of the

brightest young men i've had the pleasure to converse

with.

The average is a 50%. An 86% on the ASVAB puts you at the 86th percentile of all test takers. The ASVAB was restructured quite a while ago so that the 50% mark truly does represent the 50th percentile.

all of the intelligence in this thread is making my head hurt. I thought the reason why we joined this site was to be goofoffs. I mean come on, someone has a relationship problem, and all we can come up with is, "She's cheating on you"

bike shop downtown on the corner (with the bar inside--always a good thing) rents killer bikes and gives you all the good details--one trail "the kessel run" is a freaking roller coaster and makes grown men scream--ill come out and drag your ass out.

rather than sit around and chuckle and debate with the honors class about who won the last spelling bee.

Not saying there is anything wrong with that ..... but....

TruMp, Gates.......these mother fuckers dont give a shit about any spelling bee.

I know we need both types of smart in this like but ill take me any fucking day of the week.........

Id rather be able to take a pile of mud and turn it into a pile of gold any fucking day.....

LOL.

We used to float the river and fish from Whitewater to Loma a couple times a year when I lived in Parachute.

I lived at the comfort inn across i-70 by the dinosaur museum for 2 months when we were rebuilding Nabors rig 909.

Got to meet the local sheriff when some drunken old woman yelled that she was going to get her brother to shoot me. You know the campsite next to the Comfort Inn? I didn't get along very well with the sherrif lol.

I agree that everyone has their own specific niche, but as i said intelligence is a very
broad thing and someone who is truly intelligent will be able to adapt, learn and thrive in many different environments, areas and the like. As I said, the most intelligent people i have ever met can be placed in any situation and they will find a way to make things work or figure things out. Now, by DEFINITION and in psychology...intelligence covers such a broad spectrum of things. Hence my insistence on it being a "well rounded" type of thing.

I know you agree with me already, so you don't really have to respond to that.

I just found it odd not 1 person mentioned those two. I have a knack for spotting extremely smart people in real life and online and they didn't get a thought.

As far as me, i could care less. My intellect is the last thing in the world i need validated. I've been repeatedly told since i was little by people (in real life obviously)that i was one of the smartest people they've ever met. My life experiences and things i've done at my age at this point have just reinforced that.

btw everyone is prison was that fuckin smart? damn..what were most of them in for?
