Single girls of EF...

i hate to say this but she should stop looking and focus more on herself, new hobby or sports like tennis or golf and let some space come between herself and her need to find hubby and make babies.

Yes, but that is what she has been doing for 10 years now. "Focusing on career" etc...

It's not the same thing.

You can work on your career and have never focused a moment on who you are as a person. IMHO that's why people have problems in all kinds relationships they don't know who they are and how they relate to others and they most certainly have no idea what it is they want from another person or what they can offer someone else.

What you do for a living or who you represent as career woman does not define who you are unless you choose to let it and if you do they who are you really but a small piece of something or someone else?

Ahh, I see. Yes, maybe she does or maybe she doesn't know who she is. That is yet another question to be asked.

Life's too short and too long, depending on what you're doing. It sucks and it's great all at the same time. I wish her well.

Good stuff Velvett, as always.

Personally, I thought it was a numbers game. She's gone on a few dates over the past few years and the people she told me about didn't seem the like a good match.

There's the guy:
- who's a mo, but wanted to try it out with a girl.
- who wanted for her to be in his porn movie. He told her this while on their FIRST date
- etc

She feels the need to be married because all of our friends from HS (except 1) is now married with kids and she's feeling left out. She tried to get together with that 1, but he was a little forward, and she got turned off.

Personally, I'm thinking that she has too high standards, but I was thinking that even with those standards that the law of averages would play in her favour after awhile.

So, GD, the post you gave makes sense to me.

Funny about the QT new boobs, I can see her try to punch you now.
I can relate to this, the guilt trip I get from alot of people for not wanting to get married in the near future at 30 years old...
Word up on Tatyana's post... I dig that single is now establishing itself more culturally, although this does have impacts on birth rates, but we need a decrease in that as well anyway.
But nothing beats a healthy robust marriage...
GD has some merit on his take as well, so many confluent factors from the capitalistic cultural imperative that revolves around obtain as much as possible for the lowest cost, and fuck everyone else, to the reductionsitic manner in which we understand our selves in relation to other of self vs not self... or now self vs -it-
very turbulent sea to swim in.

Enderje - Your question implies that because I'm single I have a problem meeting quality men... not the case at all. I enjoy my freedom to do what suits me. I've been in committed, long term relationships... almost got married. I've experienced enough of that to know that I do better 'on my own.' I'm not ruling out finding someone who can keep up with me, but I'm not relying on that 'image' to keep myself going.

Then, my bad. The question should of been is it hard to find a quality man if you're looking for one.

older good guys are short cos the good ones are out chasing newer better models while the not so good guys never caught on to the fact and have become tired/not so hot. they still offer to buy you stuff and ask to touch your tits tho.

girls are equally fucked because they spend their most attractive years getting short term stimulus being chased, and caught, by good guys, in meaningless (condoms used ways) but after a while they wake up, older, and realize that they arent so hot anymore and then have a big cry about why there are no good guys anymore.

its because they, and the guys, got old, and shouldnt have spent so much time being ADD party girls or chasing careers, and instead, should have found a mate while they had time.

end result: the few hot guys spend time having sex until theyre shit and then finally settle, while the girls all get shit (its their nature) and the non good guys wander around asking why.

its why you felt the need to get fake boobs at age 30ish. you need to keep that young image happening, so as to keep attracting guys...who you complain are too young...or not so hot...but you still accept their comliments and/or drinks.

sucks, but...the end.

Wow that was some great stuff that I totally agree with!!
