simmering hatred for the majority

I just realized that in all my years working in corporate America, all my university education, living in the suburbs, dealing with capitalism, making money, etc.

I understand the terrorists.

I don't like what they did. I don't condone what they did. I feel great sorrow for the victims.

However....my own deep, seemingly irrational anger has come out to me on this board in heaps.

As a person of color, living in America, I'm angry all the time.

Weight training has helped manage this anger.

But I still feel it. I have reaped the benefits of this society, as the terrorists have.

I have taken advantage of the opportunities. I blame no one for my own situation...I am successful by my own definition.

But I hurt deeply for the marginalized people in this country.

A cab driver from Somalia said to me: "you Americans think you are so great...but the ones in great fear that ride in my cab are the white businessmen. The blacks, latinos, chinese, etc., have fear, but not nearly as much as the white men."

Why? Because white men in power have exacted their hypocrisy on people of color for centuries.

I don't hate. I would never commit an act of terrorism. But I understand how one could live somewhere with boiling anger and finally exact revenge.

And I haven't even been bombed.

You can't feel sorrow...not after saying you UNDERSTAND it. Morals don't work that way, although I assume you have no strict moral base to build on, considering the above realization.

You're angry all the time, because of something NO ONE has any control over (your color?!)...that's very "adult" of you to admit. Are you angry because, even though you get special privileges, you still actually have to work hard? That seems to be the mantra of most "angry colored people."

Hell, I'm scared to walk downtown in Houston, because I know most minorities DO IRRATIONALLY HATE THE MAJORITY! You're saying that's...right? just? That's going to make things better for the future? More hate, more violence, etc.? There's a reason for ALL stereotypes, and until those reasons are eradicated, said stereotypes will exist!

If you don't hate, why is your "hatred simmering," or did you forget what you typed again?

You, as an American, WERE bombed. Since it was certainly not ALL RICH WHITE MEN that were bombed, but citizens of 100-some-odd nations that were killed on 9-11-01!

Look at it this way, if you can actually pretend to be rational for a minute.

You are a person of color. You hate whites. The terrorists hate Americans, all of 'em! They bomb, and kill, about 6,000 AMERICANS, some of which are colored. Doesn't this p*ss you off? I could understand if they bombed and killed 6,000 whites, how that would make you "understand," and be content, but they didn't...

So, by your own admission, you are irrational, and confused.

Please check your premises before posting more liberal dribble...

I hope that one day, you realize the errors and flawed logic that you spout almost every day on this board...for your sake, and whoever you come in contact with throughout the day!

As a colored person in America?.....Are you kidding?....the so called minorities have more rights then the white man does....I'm not a rascist, but I resent the fact that a minority can kick my ass and all they will get charged with is assault...while if I fought back and won all of a sudden its a hate crime....this just doesn't make any sense to me at all...And as far as understanding these terrorists...I understand them completely....I understand that they are parasites on the world society and that, like any parasite, you do what you have to to destroy them...Sure everyone is entitled to there opinion..even Bin Ladin...but you gotta stop and think.....the reason he is entitled to his opinion is because the US has made it that way.....He tried to crush our spirit and that can't be done.....He has pushed us up against a wall and the only way out is to fight back.....What happend on 9/11 was well planned, well oraganized murder...also I wanna know what we did to justify the slaughter of innocent people

There is no logic to what I feel. It is not logic based.

I see what I see.

And you are scared because you see what you see.

You cannot explain these feelings to someone here in America...you would have to leave this country for awhile, then come back, to understand.

I know why you are hated. On a gut level. It isn't jealousy, it isn't crazy...it is what is evident to the eye.

But you will never understand...don't try. You are not one of the millions of people of color that hate you.

Even if you went to Sierra Leone, you would see children cut to pieces, and you would explain that away. I see something entirely different than you, because while I operate in your value system, I still have my own.

Most folks on this board are not of color, so I don't expect anything other than an opportunity here to express my point of view.

And your statement is why the majority culture here is in danger...that folks like me who express themselves are pounced on...we are NOT FREE.

Expressing this opinion in the real world would make things very very difficult. Not amongst my own people, but amongst yours.

Intelligence has nothing to do with this post. It is irrelevant. I am talking about emotions, feelings.

The fact that you want people to SEE my 'real' views...anyone who has read my posts would deduce this very post from my writings...I just have to be explicit for a certain few here who do not possess deductive reasoning skills.

And why do you even care how I feel? You are threatened by it. And you seek to get your majority friends to gang up.

To quote myself, I said I am very successful, have most of the things I want.

I probably have lived more of the American dream than most.

I don't care about support here.

You folks have no idea what beinf of color is like...having to compromise and ASSIMILATE to make it.

If I didn't speak perfect English, have the perfect degree from the perfect university, I wouldn't have my so-called perfect life.
