What is wrong with plastic surgery anyway?? How many people here use DRUGS/supplements/etc to improve their looks?? And if you call it being lazy, I call it being SMART! Why? Because they change their entire look from ugly to amazingly beautiful in a matter of MONTHS for the look we HOPE to achieve doing it "naturally" in YEARS. Once again anyone who says they wouldn't get plastic surgery to improve his/her looks is a lying fool.

I don't think anything is wrong w/ it if it's because they have a obscenely oversized nose etc. But if it's just 'cause society thinks they're ugly then it's silly. God gave you what you get. Everyone isn't 100% satisfied with themselves however you learn to accept it. I know that for me personally, I'm happy with what God & my parents gave me...I have many flaws, as we all do, but I'm not going to get all drastic & go through plastic surgery to change that. No way. I'm happy with me & no matter what society says, I ain't changin' a thing!

I watch Makeover if it`s on, Why not? I don`t judge the people on the show, If they want to do it, it`s fine by me. They seem very happy with their decisions and look a lot better as well. They`re adults and have to live with all the decisions they make in their life. I do worry a little about how young kids watching this stuff will react in years to come, but the adults can handle themselves IMO.

Well I think, to each his own..but we color our hair to cover the grey dont we? We have our nails done cuz they chip and are thin dont we? We go to tanning beds to be darker...thats all stuff that makes us look better...am i not right?It makes us feel better and look better.so why not? Noone is happy, i agree, but we all like to feel good bout ourselves..when ur nails are growing out and u have to have them filled when they get a bit long do u feel self conscious of them? When your roots are growing out do u feel like everyone sees ur grey? and rush to get them fixed

Very true.

From personal experience, I believe that if a person can 'fix' certain aspects of their appearance that they are unhappy with, they really will be happier and more confident in general. It's not necessarily an 'anorexia-syndrome' type situation where no matter what changes the level of satisfaction/confidence stays static.

There are housewives that are going to watch this, and feel insecure now cuz they wonder if their husband really finds them attractive. Seeing as they look fat and old in the mirror, and how hot they look now in the show. Maybe *they* should go through this to look "better", to "fit in". Perhaps his "nah i like you fine" is just lip service and "really he wishes he could have one of them".

You know how women dwell ons hit like this hours a day -- while us guys just watch sports and drink beer.

Not to mention those fat 14 y/o's who already have a complex and gonna get even more depressed now cuz they do'nt look that hot and "hot is where it's at if u wanna get the boys!".

I only like the shows where they take someone who has a physical problem such as a cleft pallet and change their looks for them. Or the one where the girl had something really wrong with her lips. I can't justify fixing something that you can change by yourslef with motivation. Just like gastric bypass....come on get on a fricken diet

I didn't say that. I said the opposite. Women are the ones who are insecure. Guys can be big and fat and still be cool and look tough. Look at bikers.
