*attempt#3***Some may know my daughter was in the ER for breaking her arm last Saturday. We were admitted and casted overnight and left Sunday. It was hell! anyway, we were told to leave the cast on for 3 weeks, we did`nt need surgery. Next Dr. visit was Thursday, the DR. says "Go to ER NOW!!!" You need surgery " lol wtf? We needed to do it before the window of opportunity would pass and the bone would start healing, because 5 days had passed.

My question is, If there`s a chance of needing surgery, why the hell do you follow up on a Thursday when the cast was put on Sunday and there`s all that time in between? There`s no need for 2 traumatic events within a week of each other.

So now she has 2 pins in her elbow after being admitted AGAIN to the hospital from the ER. The healing process starts all over again. Stupid doctors, IMO. Am I overreacting?

Having said all that, I`m VERY relieved it`s over with. We just have to wait for 3-4 weeks (from now) and take the cast off. I`m pretty happy.

I'd be more pissed about that then the incident that caused it. That was a stupid kid that didn't understand cause/effect - the results of his actions.

This was a doctor that didn't plan accordingly, plain and simple.

You have every right to be infuriated with the hospital. Is everything going to heal ok, because they waited so long? I hope so... Your poor daughter, I am not sure on her age, but that had to be traumatizing for her as well. Yes, you have every right to be angry, and you are not overreacting. Good luck with everything,
Stephanie
P.S. Thanks for the karma, it made my day! ;)

GL, it's only natural that you feel angry and want to punch the doctor in the face, but before you do that, calm down a bit and count to 10. I mean, atleast you could say you gave him a 10 count to get prepared before you nocked his teeth out.

She`s 2.5 years old. I hated seeing her go through that. Yesterday she was begging for water while we waited longer than we had to for the doc to start the surgery.

It will heal fine now. If they did`nt do the procedure, it would not have full Range of motion.

To top it all off, she was pushed out of a chair by a 6 year old when she broke her arm.

Also, sleeping on a chair sucks. All 2 hours of it.

About that karma... I think I gave you that by accident. I`ll talk to administration and try to get it back. Sorry, it`s just the way it has to be.

Wow she is so young, that had to be hard for you as her father to have to step back and watch her go through that. At least it will be ok now. Not having full ROM for life, I couldn't imagine it at such a young age. Wow, and all of that from being pushed out of a chair. Wow.
As far as the karma goes, that's cool, I understand. It was welcome aboard Karma in case they need to know what you wrote. Take car eof your lil one!

Thanks.

I talked to administration and they said they could`nt take it back, but suggested I give you RED karma so it would even out your numbers. So when I recharge, I`ll shoot it your way, thanks for understanding.

lol jk I`m just messing with the newbie. I meant the "Welcome" K. lol ahhhhhhhhh

I'm laughing right now, am having bad day, and your joke made me laugh. Thanks, I needed that! I was the queen of pranks in the Army, and I didn't even suspect a thing when you said that. Good one! :)

I would march up to the parents of the kid that caused this ,present them with the Dr bill and threatened to call a lawyer if they didn't do something about it!

This stuff happens all the time. Before we found out what was wrong with my son he was diagnosed as having an ear infection in the ER twice. It turned out not to be and inner ear infection but Brain Cancer. Talk about making a mistake.
