Seattle for the 4th?

Shak

i know, it's a bit early to be thinking about the 4th of july, but i have to think of something exciting to get me through this snow & cold...

has anyone ever spent the 4th of july in seattle?? my boyfriend & i are thinking about going out there during that time to see his friend, but i wasn't sure how the weather is at that time. summer is so great in chicago, that i would hate to leave here to be stuck in rain in seattle.

I lived there for a summer.

The rainy seasons are spring and fall, summer is clear blue 82 all the time, very little rain while I was there.

Sun comes up at like 330 AM though, that's a little weird.

There is nothing 'special' in Seattle for july 4th, like a festival or something. As a vacation destination it;s pretty geigh. Were all the hotels booked in Syracuse NY?

3:30 am? Which time zone was your watch set too???? Matt, I think you were actually somewhere besides Seattle.
Yes there is alot of festivals in seattle for the 4th, athough I cant remember the name of them off hand. I believe "sea fair" is around the fourth.
You can go to gas works park on lake union and hang out with the crowds, I've done that, good fun.
Down in Tacoma is the "freedom fair" on the water front, also a good festival, there is an airshow and lots of other good stuff.

Yup, its awesome I live there some of the time and have an apt there. Go to gasworks park for the Fourth, then downtown to the bars afterwards you wont be disappointed. Freaking hell of a good time if you believe it!

Perfect weather in the summer!!
