Bro, I think the worst case scenario would be that it was a melanome, which if not caught and excised could metestasize to other parts of your body and kill you. Melanoma is definately the BAD BOY of skin cancer but would not be caused by a low immune system or roids. You said earlier that you did a lot of indoor tanning. Not a good idea. That is what can cause a melanome very easily over a period of time. The thing they will do is a wide excision around the area they have already done the biopsy at. Most times they will even have to do a skin graft over the area cause it is usually pretty large. I have assisted on many of these procedures and they are usually pretty succesful, however you will still be wondering if it was caught in time. I think they usually say that if you have NO type of reaccurence over 5-7 years you are probably out of the woods. A friend of my wifes died from an undiagnosed melanoma she had cut off of her leg about 3 years ago and started complaining of pelvic pain. She went into the hospital and was dead 3 weeks later because it spread to her internal organs and brain.
