Ha. I love this kind of stuff. Pukefest is forthcoming Sarge. That was a lot of work buddy, nice job. Head to the nearest Wendy's...lol (or at least have a PB&J for me...better yet I'll have one for you - possibly both)

I did about a month of 20's (never did squats) in Jan. SLDL's were a horrible experience. My body comp changed weekly - wife made comments about seeing new muscles, etc. I hated it, as I am a slob, but I think this wil be a sick run for you.

You could do something else in place of deads on the 15s and work them in on the 10s and 5s.

Yes, that seems like a good idea. What would be a good compound? Or maybe do DB rows? ... i think that'd be way too much back stuff.. no?

dude, I puked in my mouth when i was washing my hands in the locker room about to leave.... just a little bit. Not sure if it was like reflux from not having a whole food meal in a few hours (pre workout whey and dex) or what..oh well, that's a first.

I ate some juicy homemade hamburgers :evil: ... not even a real cheat, but that's the first unclean meal i've had in 8+ days i think.

I can't imagine 20 reps... holy :cow:

... This made me feel a little better about using less weights, kinda close to my maxes.

I did a cycle of the Breathing Squats workout, once, years ago. Pick the highest weight you can squat 10 good reps with, then do 20. :sick:

Yeah, I don't really see the point of DB rows since you already have the BB variety.

I'm really not the best person to ask about exercise variety/substitutions since I haven't had a need to go beyond the basic "big lifts." If your lumbars are up to it, RDLs could be worth a look. Since they're done from a hang, they might be a bit less taxing and are a hell of a lot easier to bail safely on than GMs. I'm not sure what would work well as a substitute for sumo deads, since they largely take the lower back out of the equation.

Romanians are a great ideer! I can see myself collapsing after them, easily. Probably a better idea than sumos for now and a good post. chain lift that I need.

Romanians are what I do all the time. When I say DL in my log, they're actually RDLs.

HiDn: Great, thanks for the reference. You like doing the 5 reps like that? Have you tried fully deweighting them?

AL: No hyper like that. We have the little one that you do the opposite of basically... bring ur upper body way down and back up.

DZLS: Welcome back man!! It's been a loooong time :) Training isn't going right now, i'm deloading ('cept for last nights test workout to find my 15RM's)... i hit a brick wall of overtraining like a mutha. 5x5 was fun and put on some good mass since September... time to play in the high reps with HST for a bit now.

Sarge......First a plea to not change programs and just make some adjustments.....maybe 1 exercise or 2 for much higher reps, maybe a few basic substitutions.....Not knocking HST because lots of guys have gotten great results with it, just that you're reaching a point where you're progressing and learning how to "train yourself" and I don't want to see you go program searching, lol

Now...I just have to bash sumo deads and then I'll offer something productive....sumo deads are for the birds, lol....pick something that's a real lift over a real range of motion, lol.

If you don't want to do conventional deads at 15 reps (which I agree may be a disaster waiting to happen) RDL's and GM's are both decent ideas. Personally, I think GM's are the superior exercise, but either one is fine. Pendlay rows probably wouldn't be the worst thing to do either.

I agree, 15 rep deads may not be pretty.....I personally never got anything out of high rep dead. I'd go with RDLs or Pendlay Rows or GMs.....you'll probably get the most functional carryover into everything else with GMs.....you'll probably get more jacked with Pendlay Rows.....and RDLs are kind of a middle ground compromise.
