I'm going back to 3x week training when I get back from da Ahhhhnold. Because i'll be taking on a full credit course load at that time.

HST program too .... omg, no he issssn't! Yes he is :p

It's very similar to 5x5 I was really surprised when I started researching it. All basic principals of progression, ect.

It's just a different rep scheme 15's, 10's, 5's (5 rep range is in the later weeks of the program). Full body 3x week training.


My knees and back better be able to squat again or I'll be mad tonight.

edit: just did a few air squats... lower back too tight, it hurts sitting in the hole :rolleyes: shit. Extreme stretching and maybe next week squatting. I need to remind myself to do the air squats more, it'll remind me to stretch if it hurts.

ur doing hst ? ok in that case i can offer my services.....ive designed a shitload of hst programs and put them up on the hst boards for the big guys to dissect and while they're hated some, they've left me with plenty of "ok'd" ones :D

if u need ANY help with hst please tell me....i do know my shit when it comes to hst sir....

Feel free if you have time to PM over a few of those "ok'd" program outlines :)

I'm going to be reading more about it this weekend and get a tentative outline in my head of what i'll be doing for the upcoming months.

I'm going to continue maintaning under maintenance calorie diet, but the varied rep ranges and intensity I think I'd be able to manipulate my diet a bit to add some calories here and there as I see fit.... i dunno i'm just rambling Ideas i have, lol.

IIRC, Lone Trooper knows quite a bit about HST. You might try searching for posts he made about it under old usernames.

Week 14 Day 5 - deload week

stretching

Front squat: barx8,
Back squat: barx3 - left knee tight, can't get proper depth (back)
lots of stretching
Front squat: barx8 - left knee tight still

DB Lunges: BW+40x10, felt solid... I think I should push these and actually "do them" or something. lol.

GM's:
Barx10, barx8 ...
my hips/back torques to the left on the way up... somethings funky there... way out of balance.

decline crunchs: BWx15, x15

bi's tris quick .. 2x8 or something, i didn't bother writing it down.

8:10pm-8:35pm



I think monday i'll go in and find my 15 RM and continue deload basically and then hit it hard when i get back from the trip.

If your knee is giving you a bit of trouble, you might exclude squats from the max test (if you weren't already planning to do so). As long as you start conservatively, you should be able to go by feel a bit to get to maxes at the end of the 15-rep phase.

IMOBIHO (lmao @ that one), I agree.

I almost hurt myself doing 3 reps with the bar on back squats... dang right i'm excluding them.

I'll see what I can do with lunges though, they are similar and at least it's something... I may load up the leg sled and suffer with the workout of loading plates on that too.. may as well, this fucking non-squatting is pissing me off it's been too long.

Are you saying I don't need to find my 15RM? Or are you saying at the end of my 15RM week (2nd week I believe) I can gauge my 10RM and 5RM from that? (which is what suppose to be done, i think...)
